Best time to visit
There’s no such thing as a bad time to visit. We do love crisp spring days on the farm, often with the chance to bottle feed the lambs, and during the summer holidays the farm is abuzz with harvest activity. Expect hours of entertainment for tractor loving kids!
Favourite room
We love Silbury, with 3 bedrooms, for the sense of space, especially for larger families! Though absolutely all are a feast for the eyes – the interiors are on a level of their own!
Please note that all of the stables, with the exception of Greyweathers, feature a king bedroom on a mezzanine level, accessed via steep steps. This upstairs space is best suited to adults and children aged 5 and over, and we recommend supervision for younger guests when using the stairs

Set within the World Heritage Site of Avebury, just a short drive from the farm you can enjoy amazing historic adventures, discover Avebury Manor and Gardens or explore the mysteries of the stone henge
A 10 minute drive away, Marlborough has an amazing selection of independent shops, cafes and family friendly restaurants – ask the owners for pub recommendations with the best climbing frames

The Farm was the perfect long weekend, full of fresh air and wholesome family time. It goes without saying the stables and surroundings are absolutely beautiful, but for me, it was the local produce which we had pre-ordered (the bacon, steaks & juice) which really blew me away. Every last detail has been thought through, plus It's in the perfect location for lazy days exploring nearby Avebury and Marlborough

Step back in time at Avebury Manor National Trust, with a jam packed agenda of children’s treasure hunts & workshops, plus a super cute cafe, farmshop and Avebury’s famous standing stones

Spend the afternoon mooching around Marlborough, exploring tiny tea shops and beautiful independent boutiques before climbing the church tower for photo worthy views

We had a great stay at The Farm in October 2023. The team made us feel very welcome. We were taking our first trip away from home with our almost one year old baby and everything was thoughtfully provided including a travel cot, nappy bin and high chair. In addition to the great facilities for families on site (eg farm animals and a playground) the team provided excellent age appropriate recommendations for local attractions and activities. There was also farm produce available to purchase which was delicious. The shared outdoor area was pretty and I imagine the stables would be a pleasant place to stay and hang out for groups or couples as well!
