Best time to visit
Grenada is blessed with a tropical climate, meaning high temperatures and consistently sunny days throughout the year
Dry season runs from February through to April, with temperatures ranging from high 20s to low 30s. A great time to visit for guaranteed weather, although prices are slightly higher.The hotel offers reduced room rates from April – October. Rainfall may be at its most possible, but the showers are usually short and the upside is the unbelievably lush landscape. Official ‘hurricane season’ is between July – November, but the island is rarely affected by these tropical storms. December is a popular time to visit, with the wet season coming to an end and sun-shore days offering a respite from European winters

Underwater Sculpture Park
Undoubtedly one for the core memory bank, a visit to Grenada’s Underwater Sculpture Park should feature on every visitor’s bucket list – where 75 subaqua statues grace the grounds of the ocean. Smalls can board a glass bottom boat to see the sights from above, whilst older kids (6+) can snap on a snorkel and parents can dive below the surface to swim eye to eye with these eerily enchanting sculptures

Annandale Waterfalls
DO go chasing waterfalls at Annandale – an Eden-esque grotto perfect for scenic strolls through the park’s lush pathways, or an exhilarating dip under the cascading waterworks. Don’t miss the Wild Orchid Restaurant and Bar, for delicious local cuisine served in a treehouse, with unrivalled surrounding views

The hotel had an update last year to pivot its aesthetic to a more modern, beach club vibe. It still feels very much Caribbean, but less old school than in previous years. There’s a kids club from 3 years upwards as well as cots, high chairs and plastic tableware on offer for smaller guests. While children aren’t allowed in the main restaurant at dinner, there’s an early sitting for them in the bar and party of brilliant babysitters you can book to have a date night dinner alone. The pristine two-mile-long Grand Anse beach also needs a special mention, thanks to its soft golden sands, crystalline waters and panoramic views across Grenada’s lush landscape. It’s no wonder it’s often voted the best in the Caribbean. You’d be hard pressed to find another that’s quite as beautiful. When we stayed over the school holidays, there was plenty of activities organised to keep the little ones entertained, from biscuit decorating to beach Olympics.
