Overview

Think Paris isn’t family friendly? Think again. 25hours Hotel Terminus Nord is a budget boutique bolthole eschewing the traditional design (and cost) tropes of her City of Light neighbours. Instead of Grand Dame interiors and eye-wateringly expensive nightly rates, quirky aesthetics reign supreme. Rooms feature a global mismash of fixtures and fittings, transporting guests around the globe, via vibrant African bedspreads, mosaic basins and loud & proud murals. All act as an eclectic homage to the explosive ethnically diverse local community of the 10th arrondissement the hotel calls home. Big boxes are also ticked for family friendly touches – the culturally contemporary rooms are seriously spacious by Parisian standards and on weekends the hotel’s restaurant hosts a family friendly brunch with a special space for children – featuring a ball pit, toys, colouring book and lots of games. All of this for a purse pleasing price tag, makes it an unbeatable city stay in our books

A stone's throw from the station, the location is perfect for anyone travelling via Eurostar. Simply come out the main station entrance, cross the road and you’re there! We loved the freshly stocked mini fridge full of beer for parents and sweets for little ones. The decor was very cool. North African street style with lots of colour, wall murals and clashing prints

    Worth waking the baby for

    01

    Jardin du Luxembourg

The largest park in the city, brimming with charm and culture. Alongside a playground you’ll find the insta-iconic carousel, pony rides and puppet shows. The pièce de résistance is the Grand Bassin duck pond, with a fleet of antique sailboats available to rent

    02

    Centre Pompidou

The home of the national museum of modern art also houses The Galerie des enfants, a brilliant interactive installation mixing pattern, colour and plenty of hands on fun

    03

    Montmartre

Montmartre’s maze of cobbled streets offers the quintessential postcard-perfect Parisian experience; cosy cafes, pastel hued buildings, storybook scenes and plenty of artists looking for child sized muses for their portraits
