Overview
Why choose between a beach, city or spa break when you can have all three? The new kid on the Domes block, 91 Athens Riviera proves that it really is possible to have it all. More than just a gateway to island getaways, Athens doesn’t get the airtime it deserves. Sitting pretty on the sublime shoreline of the lesser-lauded riviera, this hybrid holiday dishes up sun, sea and sights – with an unexpected twist. Definitely not your ordinary resort, accommodation here comes in the form of ‘Luxents’ (luxury tents, get it?). Don’t be fooled by the allusion to campsites, these impeccably designed (and very sturdy) structures feel more akin to an al-fresco boutique hotel. Exactly what you’d expect from a Domes resort, and then some (!), the interiors wouldn’t be out of place at their other outposts; the signature Soma spa still comes complete with a sauna & indoor pool; and, trust us, you’ll be more than happy to pitch up at BARBAROSSA for a gastronomic education in Greek/Asian fusion-fare. Prioritising privacy, there’s only 28 cabanas available, keeping the atmosphere blissfully peaceful. A top destination for families seeking a side of convenience with their culture, this resort is rich in both nature and nurture. Spend mornings exploring Athens’ archaeological treasures, before smugly swanning back to your Aegean abode for wine-ing, dining, pampering and (easy!) parenting

Best time to visit
Unlike other Domes’ resorts, 91 Athens Riviera is open year round! And the beauty of this Grecian getaway is that there’s something to appeal, whatever the season. Peak summer can be sweltering with highs of 29 – 32 degrees, but personal plunge pools provide the ideal post sight-seeing soak. Winter in Athens is a hell of a lot more palatable than the UK (hovering around 23 degrees in October and 18 degrees in November). April & May would be our top pick, with spring sunshine sitting between 20-25 degrees
Favourite room
Parents will feel most comfortable in the Family Cabana with plunge pool. This is a whole new take on the tent-life: think hardwood floors, palatial bathrooms, plush super-king beds and a separate (2 single bed) sleeping space for smalls
Nearby
Proving that it really is possible to have it all, 91 Athens Riviera serves guests a boujee beach break & culture vulture jaunt, in one fell swoop. The alluring Aegean is mere steps away, while Athens city centre can be reached in 30 minutes by car. With more must-see sights than you can shake a history book at, this city is not sleeping on things to do
