A National Treasure (if you ask us), children can roam free in the wildflower meadows, feeding furry friends, bouncing off the walls in the indoor soft-play and making a splash (year-round) in the heated indoor pool. Owners Farmer Dave and ‘Action Nan’ Pat joyously take up the mantle of stand-in grandparents, elevating this self-catering stay to a true home-from-home. Best time to visit
Cornwall is a honeypot for families in the summer, but the generous village-like grounds of Bosinver provide ample space for a slow-paced staycation. With indoor soft-play, a heated pool and cosy cottages families shouldn’t rule out Autumn or Winter either

Larger groups will love the 6 bedroom Farmhouse (complete with private hot tub), or if you want to holiday together, but sleep separately, choose partnering Apple and Pear (sleeping 4 each)
You can’t go wrong with any of the practical-yet-pretty pads, but the jewel in the crown has to be Lowen – standing for ‘low energy’ but also Cornish for ‘happy’ this eco-friendly abode is a zero carbon, energy self-sufficient home. Sleeping 8 in 4 rooms, guest are treated to Grand Designs-esque interiors inside and a private BBQ & hot tub outside

Bosinver really is a very special place that is hard to sum up in a quote. It's ideally positioned to explore amazing areas, yet you could quite simply never leave the site. Some of our favourite parts include: animal feeding with the fantastic Farmer Dave ; the spotless Playbarn; the gorgeous cottages with incredible interior (pictures don't do them justice); pony rides on Ginger and Crystal; and Wildkidz sessions with the engaging and imaginative Tatum. They really have thought of everything to make it the most relaxing break for parents because children and adults alike have so much fun here

What really impressed us about Bosinver was the amazing array of onsite activities, combined with the spacious cottages. We usually opt for Airbnbs for our staycations, finding it easier with the dog, but this setup was ideal for us. We did more belly-laugh inducing activities for our toddler in a single day than we usually fit into a month at home - plus the indoor softplay was a GAME CHANGER in the rain

Being prepared and packing is never my forte so it's so nice to know you're going somewhere that already has everything you need, including a toy box in the front room. I'm usually prone to trying to cram as much into a holiday as possible but what's really nice about Bosinver is it almost forces you to relax as activities are right on your cottage doorstep, so there's no need to constantly hoist children in and out of the car

Bosinver is a dream. Beautiful cottages are equally appointed with all the big and small bits you need for a family with children - from bath and bumbo seats to nightlights, blenders and bed guards. We had such a wonderful stay, enjoying the daily farmyard walks with Farmer Dave, feeding the sheep, goats and chickens, swimming in the heated indoor pool and jumping around the softplay in the wet weather
