Look forward to a swift, speedy transfer upon arrival, as Domes Lake Algarve is just a 30 minute drive away from the airport. Keen to forgo the faff of sorting a hire car? Best time to visit
With a comparatively longer sunny season to enjoy than Domes’ Greek Island outposts, you can comfortably book a break any time from the beginning of May until the end of October
Favourite room
For first time parents or families with one tiny traveller, we’d opt for an airy Emerald Retreat room – with a king sized bed (plus a trundle or a cot) and private balcony, with panoramic lake or ocean views
Both Tropical Family Retreat & Sapphire Family Retreat Suites have two bedrooms (a king plus a twin), with the option of adding a cot and trundle bed too. The difference here is the views (we’re team Sapphire, as we’re suckers for overlooking the water)
The biggest of all the accommodation options is the Absolute Family 2 Bedroom Suite, with a seriously spacious separate living area, and luxurious jet bathtub for beautifully bubbly soaks

Or take it easy, pull up a pew, and watch the luxury yachts sail by as you soak up the buzz

We have been back to Domes Lake Algarve every year since it opened. We love the lake pool, where the kids can play just on the edge of the sand. The staff are so friendly, they recognise the children now, and they can easily accommodate a family of five!

Domes Lake Algarve is set up brilliantly for families. The childcare is amazing, taking little ones from a few months old. Lake Algarve has a great set up, with a beautiful manmade lake beach. It’s perfect, with a gentle slope into it

We stayed at the Domes Lake Algarve last summer and loved it. Childcare and babysitting was fantastic and we stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment which gave us lots of space and options. The buffets were top quality and family friendly, and the spa facilities were great. There is a beach close by too, with a lovely beach club!
