Overview
The total antithesis of a ‘traditional’ family resort, there are a few things you (happily) won’t find at Domes Zeen Chania. There’s no outdated decor or underwhelming dining in sight, nor is there an in-your-face kids mascot or cheesy evening disco. But don’t get us wrong – when it comes to family friendliness, Zeen leads the way. How? This is a small, intimate resort packing a big punch thanks to its bohemian spin on recreation, delivering authentic & tailored family experiences for all ages. The jungle Soma Spa will work wonders for weary parents, while their mini me’s are enchanted by the lush, hidden Kids Club (think yurts, tee-pees & a splash pool where free roam fun is encouraged – all under the supervision of Montessori-focused staff). The private, pebbly beach is only steps away for effortless hours of fun in the sun, and it’s rare we hear such glowing reviews of hotel restaurants as we have here. At Zeen there are two to choose from, as well as a pool bar for waterside tipples and an uber creative cocktail truck. In short – if you were a pre-baby devotee to stlish boutique boltholes with an air of exclusivity, Domes Zeen Chania should top your post-baby bucket list

Transfer
Look forward to a swift, speedy transfer upon arrival, as Domes Zeen Chania is just 30 mins from the airport. Booking via Tiny Travel Agency? Avoid the agro of arranging a hire car (not to mention car seat stress…) and let us sort the logistics for you
Best time to visit
There’s no denying that for a sun blessed summer escape, you’ll want to hedge your bets and book a break from May through until the end of September
While July and August pull in the biggest crowds, thanks to school being out for summer, June & September often beckon wonderfully warm weather with a lower price tag (and more sunbathing space)
Favourite room
We have it on good authority that at Zeen, the Haute Living Selection options reign supreme when it comes to accommodation (not to mention, they all have private pools!)
For first break with baby, or for families with one tiny traveller, we’d pick a Sapphire Pavillion room – think sea views and sprawling indoor/outdoor living areas with more than enough space for either a cot or a sofa bed
The Family Pavillions are perfect for families of four (the ‘Tropical’ ones overlook the garden while their ‘Sapphire’ equivalents face over the water)
Travelling as part of a bigger brood? The Tropical Family Grand Pavillion is the biggest of the all the villas, sleeping up to 6 in total – with a ultra luxe, large garden & private pool for added peace and privacy
