  • Enchanted Kids Club (4+) amongst the lush jungle foliage, with an emphasis on eco-activities and tailored family experiences

Overview

The total antithesis of a ‘traditional’ family resort, there are a few things you (happily) won’t find at Domes Zeen Chania. There’s no outdated decor or underwhelming dining in sight, nor is there an in-your-face kids mascot or cheesy evening disco. But don’t get us wrong – when it comes to family friendliness, Zeen leads the way. How? This is a small, intimate resort packing a big punch thanks to its bohemian spin on recreation, delivering authentic & tailored family experiences for all ages. The jungle Soma Spa will work wonders for weary parents, while their mini me’s are enchanted by the lush, hidden Kids Club (think yurts, tee-pees & a splash pool where free roam fun is encouraged – all under the supervision of Montessori-focused staff). The private, pebbly beach is only steps away for effortless hours of fun in the sun, and it’s rare we hear such glowing reviews of hotel restaurants as we have here. At Zeen there are two to choose from, as well as a pool bar for waterside tipples and an uber creative cocktail truck. In short – if you were a pre-baby devotee to stlish boutique boltholes with an air of exclusivity, Domes Zeen Chania should top your post-baby bucket list

    01

    Chania Old Town

One of the oldest settlements in the world, Chania is a tantalising mix of old & new and real whirlwind for the senses – full of vibrant sights, smells and sounds to soak up. Just ten minutes from Zeen, wander round the romantic old harbour and iconic 16th century lighthouse, before exploring rustic alleys to uncover charming openair markets

    02

    Seitan Limania

A must visit for anyone in the north of Crete, this hidden cove is renowned for its clear waters, soft white sands and dramatic rocky surroundings. While there is plenty of parking, reaching the sea does involve a short (and in some places, steep) hike, so its definitely one for the sling (and not the pram). There aren’t any amenities but in terms of stunning scenery, Seitan Limania is unrivalled

    03

    Aqua Crete Limoupolis

Just outside of Chania, at the foot of the White Mountains, Limoupolis is an aquatic oasis of lazy rivers, water slides, splash pads and pools – with attractions fit for everyone, from adrenaline seekers to tiny tots. It’s one way to bag yourself some serious parental brownie points!
