The Kids’ Club officially welcomes babes from 6 months +, but postpartum parents can rest assured tinier tots can be booked in with the accompaniment of babysitters (at an additional charge). Favourite room
At Falkensteiner Hotel Montafon children stay for free in the same room as their parents. Changing mats and nappy bins come as standard across all choices
The smallest, and entry level, rooms are the Superior options, which are ideal for postpartum or bedsharing parents, happy to be in one space
Families of 4 will want the Deluxe Room or Grand Deluxe rooms for a king-size bed and separate kids bunkbed room. Family Suites and Family Suite Deluxes offer the same setup, with a little more living space.
The Mountain and Panoramic Suites sleep up to 5, whilst the Golm Summit is a great choice for larger families, sleeping up to 10 across 2 bedrooms for adults and 2 for children

What family facilities are there, and how much do they cost?
A full board dining activity-all-inclusive, your credit card can rest easy here. The Kids Club welcomes tiny travellers from 6 months plus for free, but should you wish to book in younger guests you’ll need to pay for a babysitter to accompany them. Parents, you can also stay and play too
Further complimentary boredom busting activities include a sports hall for basketball and football, a movie theatre that doubles as a mini disco, table football, science lab, swimming pools, gaming stations, cooking classes, a climbing wall and DJ booth
Outside of the hotel a mountain playground awaits, with horse riding, alpaca hiking, husky sledding and much, much more available (at a cost)

What are the pools like?
Beautiful! You’ll find an indoor one (with a small slide) which leads directly into the mountain-gazing outdoor swim spot. Those with a need for speed will love the winding flume that whooshes them out with a spectacular splash. In the winter they are heated to 33 degrees and 28-30 degrees in the summer
Is there evening entertainment?
Evening entertainment includes cinema screenings and mini discos for tots, alongside readings, live music and sport sessions for adults
What’s the protocol for allergies?
The hotel is well equipped to cater to dietary needs. Whether vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free or low-carb, you’re in good hands. Guests will also receive a pre-arrival questionnaire to easily flag any requirements
What’s the dining set up?
Falkensteiner Hotel Montafon welcomes guests with a full board dining experience, but far from any you may have experienced before. Keeping hanger at bay throughout the day, breakfast is served from 7.30 – 10am; lunch from 2 – 4pm; dinner from 6.30pm – 9pm; and the bar stays open until midnight. Guests are free to dip in and out of this dining destination, so if your gang is peckish for a post lunch afternoon snack, simply stroll back in for a sweet (or savoury) pick me up – or simply order your favourite dishes via room service 24/7

Falkensteiner Hotel Montafon is an architectural delight; a very modern building but set in a beautiful traditional valley with Austrian houses dotted around the hillside below. There’s amazing facilities in general for kids! Sports Hall for basketball/football. Movie theatre with mats and bean bags. Climbing wall for kids near the bar, table football, pool, science lab, gaming area, kids cooking classes, indoor pool and family sauna, waterslides and a Kids Club. There’s also a lovely ski area nearby which would be enough for 3 days with mostly red and blue runs. It has a few restaurants in a central area on the mountain serving delicious traditional Austrian cuisine too

Alpine Coaster Golm
You’re going to want to buckle up for this one. The Alpine Coaster Golm is a thrilling all-weather toboggan run that stretches 2,600m of jumps, hairpin bends and 360 degree mountain views. Taking roughly 8 minutes in total, drivers of the two seater ‘cars’ can set their speed themselves. Tiny Travellers aged 3+ can ride along with parents, while those 8 and older can get behind the wheel themselves!

Golm ski area
Snow bunnies are well catered for on the Golm, with nine lifts and 44 km of best prepared pistes. Ideal for families, or newbies, there’s a drag-lift nursery slope; run through the forest dotted with life-sized witches; and two ‘Funlines’ to put your skills to the test. The local ski school starts lessons from 3+ and the best time to take your salopettes for a spin is December through February – when the skies are usually sunny yet the snow still reliable

Wildpark Feldkirch
If you have a car with you, a day trip to Wildpark Feldkirch is well worth the 40 minute journey. Open year-round, it’s home to 170 animals, from deer & donkeys through Lynx, mini pigs, wildcats and wolves. Meet and greet the four-legged residents, walk along the picturesque paths or let off steam in the beautiful playground. Free to enter, the park operates from donations, making for an affordable and altruistic outing
