Overview

The undisputed historical heavyweight of the Dodecanese, Rhodes is the Greek island to visit if you like equal parts cinematic scenery and ancient culture. Practically an open-air museum, there’s cobblestoned streets, crumbling citadels, Byzantine churches and medieval monuments waiting to be explored. If proximity to sights is a priority, but so is somewhere serene to retire to, this one’s for you. A smart location on one of the island’s most beautiful beaches, Grecotel LUXME Dama Dama offers guests an oasis of peace & privacy, with the tourist hotspots of the Old Town reachable in under 20 minutes by car

Attentively designed and impeccably decorated throughout, the vibe here is luxe-chic, full of easy-on-the-eye corners, with terracotta-topped bungalows housing spacious family rooms and suites. Recently revamped, everywhere you look appears fresh as a daisy, with neutral interiors inviting a sense of calm. Outside, the 100-meter pool is the headline act and guarantees ample room for all aquatic pleasures – whether that’s a grown up slow-swim, or teenage dive-bomb. For thrill-seekers there’s also a two waterslides to keep hearts pumping

What about childcare you ask? Think of Grecoland as an immersive world of craft & creativity, where Tiny Travellers 4+ can make new friends, cultivate new passions (the Little Gardeners sessions are seriously sweet) and dive headfirst into the fabulous activity agenda. Children consumed with hours of fun, parents can skip off to the Gazebo Massage area, work up a sweat in an Aqua Aerobics class or state-of-the-art-gym, or indulge in a little day time drinking in the exceptionally-stocked wine tasting library. Parents of suitcase-space-stealing smalls will enjoy the Grecobaby packing service: providing all the baby and toddler paraphernalia you’ll need during your stay

Another mighty feature here is the roster of restaurants, which ensures top-notch food and drinks are served. Traditional ‘kaloudia’ afternoon tea, gelato-filled crepes and Parisian-worthy patisseries all come without the need to fork out any extra money. Grecotel’s much-loved Dine Out programme is also part of the package, with one complimentary dinner at a traditional local taverna included once per stay. With a commitment to embodying the Greek ‘kefi’ (or joie de vivre to me and you), LUXME Dama Dama is as relaxing as it is entertaining. Opa!

Children under 3 may stay and play with parents, while the supervised sessions themselves work on a very chill no-reservations-need drop-in system

Outside of the Kids Club there’s plenty to enjoy as a family: playing in the beach-facing playground, movie nights, private photo sessions, fishing trips, watersports, scuba diving, snorkelling, horse riding on the beach, beach volleyball, boccia and bike rides
