So what to expect? Starting with à la maison. Six spacious and independent cottages are sprinkled within safe, secure and oh-so-scenic grounds. Entertaining offspring is easy peasy – thanks to two heated pools, a playground, zip line, pintsized golf driving range, mini farm and a seasonal Kids Club. The play-all-day childcare setup which runs from the end of July to the end of August couldn’t be simpler – with a no reservations needed policy, entry age of 4+, opening hours of 8am – 7pm, and did we mention it’s completely free, and parents are welcome to supervise smaller sprogs too?
Dining-wise, things are equally well considered. Mornings start with a provided-for-you continental breakfast – meaning there’s no need to start your day cooking. During the high season on the Luxury Package, sociable dinners are hosted three times a week (and included in the price of your stay, as well as unlimited wines, beers and soft drinks!) – with everything from wood-fired pizza nights to sizzling BBQs and paella under the stars on the menu. Prefer to keep things private? Each cottage comes with a fully equipped kitchen, making self-catering a breeze. You’ll find lots of lovely local restaurants nearby, as well as supermarkets to make stocking up on essentials a breeze
Location comes up trumps too. Beyond the blissful bubble of the resort, families can dip in and out of sand & sea sessions at nearby Canet Plage, roam storybook towns, head next door to the family-run winery or cross the border for some Costa Brava beach days in Spain
There’s no need to imagine the perfect balance of play and peace — at Imagine Roussillon parents are treated to the right mix of seclusion and sociability. Imagine Roussillon will be opening its doors from April through to the end of October in 2026, offering a lengthy season of sunshine-drenched family escapes. For those with younger children in tow, May and June are especially dreamy — warm enough for pool days, yet blissfully free from peak-season crowds. You’ll find our local temperature guide below:

On Wednesday mornings, the picture-perfect town of Perpignan hosts a colourful market filled with elevated picnic fodder. While Thursday evenings during high season, see Canet’s night market come alive with music, street food, and crafts

Imagine Roussillon ticked all our boxes - a self catering stay with separate bedrooms for us and the kids, some wonderful heated pools and plenty of things to keep the children entertained. The facilities didn't disappoint - there's a fantastic playground with high quality equipment - think swings, trampoline, climbing frame and then there's mini-golf, mini chess and a play room of things to keep them entertained. From the moment I booked nothing was too much trouble for Guillaume and Elodie, who made sure we had all the equipment we needed in our apartment and helped us with suggesting things to do locally. That said, there's no need to leave the resort and for the first couple of days we barely left, with my two water babies loving the pool. The vibe was lovely and relaxed - we stayed on the luxury package which includes a generous breakfast, unlimited soft drinks, beer and wine, and - in the summer holidays - dinner on three nights a week. My 2 and 4 year old loved being able to eat their food and then run around playing with the other children, whilst all the parents relaxed with a drink. Most of our days were spent on the beach, and we really enjoyed Collioure. For any rainy days, the aquarium at nearby Canet-et-Roussillon is fantastic and really worth a visit. We also enjoyed Grottes des Canalettes - some amazing caves - a bit further afield
