There’s no bad time to visit the Austrian Alps. The hills come alive with opportunities for outdoor adventures in spring and summer; April – September offers the dreamiest weather. Whilst ski bunnies will want to hot (or cold) foot it over during the winter months, to enjoy snowy scenes and endless post-piste comforts

The hotel is luxurious without being overly pretentious, tastefully marrying the local heritage of a small Alpine town with modern design touches. Imagine a perfect spa getaway with the added benefits of child entertainment and care! I can firmly say this hotel is a paradise for families with kids of *all ages*. The food also deserves a separate feature, since it was absolutely fantastic!

As steadfast 'non resort goers', staying at Naturhotel was an eye opening experience for us. The food truly took my breath away. The breakfast 'buffet' was a cornucopia of delights - from the dedicated bread room to the endless varieties of jams, honeys and fruits. At dinner guests can choose from 3 daily changing menus of Mediterranean, ultra local and vegan dishes - with freedom to pick and choose between. My daughter was too young for the Kids Club, but loved the well-equipped baby room (which was open 24/7), meeting new farm friends and swimming in both the indoor and heated outdoor pools. As someone who is a self confessed slave to my Apple watch I loved the fact there were endless classes on offer for adults, from yoga to boxing, as well as a high-tech gym and of course a surplus of spa treatments to finish!
