For families of up to three, the Bungalow Mar is a cosy coastal hideaway with stunning sea views, a balcony, and a wood-burning stove to keep things snug. It sleeps two adults and one child comfortably
For families of up to four, you’ve got two fab options. The Mar Room offers a mezzanine, balcony, wood-burning stove, and those coveted ocean views. Meanwhile, the Bungalow Mar & Cook steps it up with a kitchen and a bit more space
For families of five to eight (yes, you read that right), the Terra Room is the ultimate choice. Set among the gardens, it boasts mezzanine or suspended beds, a huge terrace, and a bathroom with a double shower. With queen and twin beds spread across 75m², it can comfortably sleep up to eight guests

If we were plotting our perfect Portuguese escape, we’d go for the dream double-act: a few sun-kissed days at Noah Surf House followed by a blissed-out stint at its effortlessly gorgeous sister property, the Areias do Seixo Villas. They’re only about 5 minutes apart, which is ideal because it means maximum fun, minimal faff. Think floor-to-ceiling windows, sea-and-dune views, private pools and interiors that basically beg to be in a magazine

Dino Parque
A short 30–40 minutes drive and you’ll find yourselves at Dino Parque Lourinhã — basically a dino-lover’s dream come true. Imagine: wandering through 6 different themed trails and coming face-to-face with more than 200 full-size dinosaur models. Let imaginations run wild as kids clamber among massive skeletons, stomp through prehistoric jungles and get hands-on with fossil digging and crafting

Tapada de Mafra
Head to Tapada de Mafra and step into over 800 hectares of lush woodland that once belonged to royalty, now playing host to roaming deer, wild boar, foxes and even birds of prey. Families can choose from a variety of gentle walking trails, or for a bit of extra fun, there’s an onsite tree-climbing/ adventure-park circuit — ropes, suspension bridges and slides among century-old trees

Noah Surf House is hot on sustainability. Think eco luxury. They have thought of everything, from the decoration to the water, energy and waste management. The hotel’s motto is ‘at sea we’re home’, and I couldn’t agree more - we felt totally at home here and cannot wait to return. The kids' activities are spot on! I'd say more so for school age children, but having said that my toddler absolutely loved going on the trampoline, feeding the resident chickens and having a go on a skateboard whilst his big sister was having a skate lesson! Foodies need to look no further than the hotel's restaurant which serves up international cuisine dishes. Each dish is used with locally produced ingredients and some are even from the hotels onsite organic vegetable garden! For me if the kids are happy, then the grown ups are too. We felt the children were really well catered for at Noah's and most importantly it felt a nurturing & safe environment for them to be in
