Overview

For families seeking that sweet spot between boutique charm and full-service ease, OKU on Spain’s southern shores strikes it effortlessly. The famed brand’s first family-forward offering sees chic childcare seamlessly woven into the laidback luxury synonymous with the OKU name. Faultlessly toeing the line between barefoot sophistication and the hassle-free hallmarks of resort living, this five-star retreat delivers both family fun and genuinely grown-up downtime in equal measure. Starting with its stellar location. Nestled just 30 minutes from the airport, where rolling Andalusian hills meet a secluded stretch of unblemished beach, it’s perfectly placed for both guilt-free hunkering down in the hotel and exploring the very best of the Costa del Sol

The real magic, however, lies in how cleverly the resort has been designed for everyone. While little ones disappear happily into one of Europe’s most impressive Kids Clubs from just 2 years old, parents can slip into holiday mode knowing they’re in exceptional hands. Think pirate ships, twisting waterslides, adventure climbing frames, splash zones and imaginative play spaces that children genuinely won’t want to leave. It’s the sort of place where drop-off is blissfully tear-free, leaving you free to pretend, if only for a few glorious hours, that your biggest responsibility is deciding between another chapter of your book or another cocktail

Families naturally gravitate towards the beautiful main pools, while adults can retreat to the serene Beach Club Alma, where both the beach club and pool are exclusively for adults (families are still welcome in the restaurant). Covering all your R&R needs in one stylish swoop, wellness is woven into every element of a stay here. The generous 2,000m² spa is the star of the show, complete with a tranquil meditation courtyard hosting sound healing, reiki and full moon circles, alongside kitchen garden workshops and an al fresco yoga shala. The freshest locally sourced ingredients are worshipped across five distinctive dining destinations, serving everything from toes-in-the-sand lunches to elevated Mediterranean favourites and flavour-packed Asian fusion. When it’s finally time to call it a day, families can choose from roof terrace rooms, spacious one and two-bedroom suites with private pools or the exclusive four-bedroom villa. Onto the sleeping set up. From roof terrace rooms to one-and-two-bed suites with private pools and the exclusive four-bed villa, broods of all sizes are in for a real treat come bedtime. Both entertaining enough for high-energy offspring and slick enough for adults needing a restful escape, OKU Andalusia is the answer to your high-requirement holiday search

    What’s the dining set up?

Food is a real highlight at OKU Andalusia, with guests able to choose from Bed & Breakfast or Half Board and five distinctive restaurants to enjoy throughout their stay. Children’s menus are available across the resort, making family dining refreshingly straightforward

The Terrace serves Italian-inspired cuisine from breakfast through to elegant evening dinners, while To Kima dishes up Mediterranean favourites with an Asian twist beside the pool. For a special occasion, Teyo pairs Asian flavours with Peruvian influences in OKU’s signature destination restaurant, while Bodega celebrates authentic Spanish tapas. Parents escaping for a little uninterrupted time should make a beeline for Beach Club Alma – families are welcome in the Mediterranean restaurant, but the adjoining beach club and pool are exclusively for adults

Guests staying on Half Board enjoy breakfast plus their choice of lunch or dinner each day from three-course set menus at The Terrace or To Kima, with children under 12 eating free from a dedicated children’s menu when dining with an adult on the same package
