Cleverly marrying the flex and freedom of a self-catering set up with facility perks, new kid on the block, SeaSpace is making a splash on Cornwall’s coastal crashpad scene. A home-from-home-hotel-hybrid, let’s start with the studio and apartments themselves. Easy-on-the-eye studios and large studios sleep up to five, 2 and 3 bed apartments sleep up to seven (including the dog), acting as an ode to Instagram-ready design. Candy-coloured kitchens are fully equipped to whip up a storm, while the sumptuous sofas are the perfect place to watch the waves roll outside. Separate bunk beds give tiny travellers a space of their own, while simultaneously guaranteeing a good night sleep for all!
Hotel-esque creature comforts include the Miami-cool heated indoor swimming pool; fitness studio (where everything from yoga and Pilates to HITT is on the timetable); culinary creative café; padel tennis courts; onsite wetsuit, board and SUP hire with Wavehunters, and jam-packed calendar of locally recommended events. The smallest of guests will be in their element (no matter the whims of the weather), thanks to the outdoor playground, indoor paddling pool, mud kitchen, and game rooms brimming with lego, toys and puzzles
A short stroll down the road leads to Porth Beach, a hotspot for bucket-and-spade toting tots and bodyboard-keen teens and tweens. It’s well worth packing the gang in the car and making the short drive to nearby Newquay, for retro-chic arcades, oodles of attractions and lots of great British grub. What family facilities are there, and how much do they cost?
All the facilities at SeaSpace (bar the padel courts) are free to use
It’s hard to imagine a happier place to swim than the yellow checkerboard lido at SeaSpace. There’s a heated indoor pool, hot tub and shallow splash pool available for waterbabies, alongside an adventure playground, maze, mud kitchen and padel courts. Should you fancy hunkering down indoors, the games room is packed with all sorts of family friendly fun from table football and darts to Lego and puzzles
Which equipment is available to borrow for babies & children?
Cots and highchairs are provided, everything else you’ll want to bring with you
Surf boards, SUPs, soft racks, wetsuits, body boards and even hoods and gloves are available for hire from the Wavehunters trailer at SeaSpace
What’s the dining set up?
Bookings are accommodation only, but foodie freedom is very much the name of the game here. All apartments are kitted out with fully-equipped kitchens, to keep hanger at bay 24/7 – we’re talking everything from pots and pans down to potato mashers, alongside a communal self-service larder for any forgotten essentials. Breakfast, brunch and lunch are all deliciously dished up at the onsite SeaSpace café, with Italian-American small plates available at TALLO bar & restaurant
Fancy a change of scene for your supper? The team recommend Stax for insta-iconic sandwiches; burgers and shakes at HERD; and coffee plus croissants from House of Glass. The nearest supermarket is only a 4-minute drive away; food can be taken away as room service; you’re more than welcome to order your own online shop; and the team of friendly staff will happily recommend their favourite takeaway options too
Do you offer housekeeping?
If you are staying for more than 8 days, the housekeeping team will make your studio sparkle again and swap any towels and bedding. If you need to freshen up before then, housekeeping can be booked with the team for an additional charge

Parent to Tiny Traveller aged 8 months
SeaSpace was so clean and colourful, very inviting for both adults and children. Retro vibes but stunning decor! There was a play room for little ones with wooden toys and an additional games room for older children. The pool was also child friendly with a baby pool. The only downside is it’s not entirely accessible for prams, there is no lift so I’d advise leaving prams in the car or request a room on the bottom floor. It’s the perfect location for a day out at the beach or headed into town and Newquay has a lovely soft play centre for children as well. The food was excellent, quick service. Very well catered children’s menu also. I would totally recommend to parents!

The Fort Inn
Taking family-friendly pubs to new heights, allow us to introduce you to The Fort Inn, sitting pretty on the edge of Newquay town. In what may sound like an oxymoronic description, expect a generous soft play for smalls, impressive interiors, all round people pleasing menus, and a scenic beer garden to boot

Gwenna Tea House
The SeaSpace team’s favourite place for a proper Cornish cream tea, locally-sourced breakfast, homemade cakes and seasonal lunch. Only a short stroll away, sandy toes (and paws) are most welcome. Open Wednesday-Sunday, pre-booking is required, and with a fizzy upgrade on the menu, it would be rude not to!

Newquay Wild Activities
A unique, and super fun, way to get to know the surrounding area, local experts lead guided Wildlife Walks and Rockpool Rambles. Explore the coast with ID books, binoculars and buckets, with an all important pasty pitstop. And to make your life as easy as possible, they’ll even pick you up from SeaSpace!
