Overview

Old meets new at this Grade II listed gothic grand dame perched above Cornwall’s Fistral Beach. First opened in 1900 The Headland has had more than a century to refine its hospitality, and trust us, the welcoming staff deliver superb service in spades. Having undergone a sensitive modernisation, expect touches of bygone glamour sitting side by side with patterned Pooky lamps and a high tech spa. Speaking of which, the award-winning Aqua Club is the star of this seaside show. Gazing out across the Atlantic, guests are treated to complimentary access to the sunset plunge pool, oceanfront Jacuzzis and hydrotherapy experiences. Make use of the recommended babysitters and descend into the adults-only subterranean wonderland for life affirming Elemis treatments. Newly opened, Ugly Butterfly by Adam Handling elevates the superior cuisine scene at this iconic hotel to dizzying heights. Rooted in Adam’s signature sustainable ethos, the restaurant champions a zero-waste ethos and showcases hyper-seasonal and hyper-local menus, inspired by the best of British produce and shaped by Cornwall’s natural larder. Whether you’re looking for relaxation or exhilaration, the whole family (dog included) are in for a real treat

The location, right on Fistral Beach, is unbeatable, and the proximity to Newquay meant no car seat meltdowns were involved in the making of this holiday
