Overview

Craving the nostalgia of childhood beach breaks, but with a little more parent pleasing polish? Allow us to introduce you to Three Mile Beach – the latest word in chic, coastal living. With a premium postcode on Gwithian Beach, guests come for the location but are blown away by the attention to detail. The interiors alone make the journey to Cornwall worth it; a colourful collision of locally crafted furniture with vibrant Mexican & Moroccan influences. Elevating your traditional bucket & spade stay to dizzying heights are the private decks – boasting a sunken cedar hot tub, barrel sauna and bbq. A food-focused gourmet-getaway, seasonal sharing plates are dished up at onsite restaurant Chomp, whilst pizza parties and private chefs can also be arranged. Going above and beyond the usual provided paraphernalia, baby packs here include toilet seats, nutribullets and sterilisers. Older kids can test their sea legs surfing, whilst smalls hone their sandcastle building skills. If you’re passionate about getting your kids off screens and want access to endless enjoyment for them (without having to resort to a ‘kiddie’ hotel), Three Mile Beach is for you

    Claire

Parent to Tiny Travellers aged 3 & 10 months

We stayed in Purple Rain which is a 4 bedroom house with wrap around terrace, hot tub, sauna and BBQ. It was amazing, with a California beach house meets Scandi minimalist decor. We literally didn't need to pack anything but clothes for the kiddos. The food onsite is divine, and all from local suppliers, which is a really nice touch

    Worth waking the baby for

    Makai

New for 2026, wobbly sea legs (of all ages) are in good hands with the team at Makai. Whether you’re hoping to stand for the first time or a seasoned surfer, the informative instructors make learning a joy. New for 2024, all surf lessons from Gwithian now include an extra 1-hour surf hire afterwards, for free. In the words of Julia Donaldson, ‘now that you’ve been shown, you can practise on your own’…and you’ll be riding waves by the time you’re fully grown!

    02

    Minack Theatre

Camera rolls won’t stay empty for long, after a trip to The Minack Theatre, an open air amphitheatre set against a stunning sea cliff backdrop. Check out the jampack calendar of children’s workshops and family friendly storytelling sessions online

    03

    Trevaskis Farm

Famous for home-cooked, hearty local fare, massive meals can be walked off with a stroll through the farm. Tiny travellers can meet & greet ponies, piglets and chickens, whilst parents stock up at the butchers and bakers. Don’t miss the chance to pick-your-own fruit either. Family days out don’t come much more wholesome
