Not a single parental pain point has been left unaddressed at Treworgey – where the list of fun filled activities and ease inducing amenities know no bounds. Firstly, endless entertainment is guaranteed, whatever the weather – thanks to the indoor ‘beach’, toy-laden playroom, outdoor playground, and heated al fresco pool (open from mid-May until October). Children can make new furry friends both feeding and petting the farm animals, can burn off steam in the softplay or take a pony for a spin. Everything from cots and highchairs through to prams, blenders, bouncers and nappy bins can be provided upon request. The cottages themselves are dotted around the 170 acre farm, guaranteeing space, privacy, and plenty of adventurous outdoor walks. Nearest station
The nearest train station is Sandplace, around a 1 minute drive away
Alternatively, Liskeard is in easy 15 minute driving reach, and is on the main line from London Paddington (meaning you can whizz down to Cornwall by train in just three and a half hours, without a car seat tantrum in sight)
Best time to visit
May and June, before the school holiday crowds descend is the best time to enjoy Cornwall, where the beautiful beaches are as close to the Caribbean as Britain can get. Sandy shores are on Treworgey’s doorstep, yet the peaceful surroundings provide real respite from tourist hotspots even if you visit in peak summer holiday season
Springtime brings an eruption of wildflowers on the farm and in winter, crisp walks can be followed by crackling fires and cosy corners to welcome you home
With cottages in all shapes and sizes, Treworgey is also perfectly suited for festive family reunions around Christmas and the New Year. We personally visited in December and sprawled across two cottages, spending many happy hours bundled up on frosty beach and countryside walks, before thawing out with hot chocolates!
And last but by no means least, autumn. Treworgey is full of facilities to delight pre-schoolers, from the indoor beach play barn to ride on tractors and Games Room (with toys, books & trainsets). What we’re trying to say is – take advantage before school holiday restrictions kick in, and book an off peak break!

Newly opened is the 2 bed Stable Cottage which is a short drive from main part of Treworgey Farm, offering a very peaceful pad for families who want to be close to the facilities, but also enjoy the feeling of being a bit more secluded
Nearby
Nestled in the heart of Britain’s green and pleasant land, expect rolling countryside views as far as the eye can see and beaches a few miles away
The nearest town is Looe (3 miles away); a picturesque port with fresh fish off the quay and a smattering of local shops & restaurants
Fowey and Polperro, both quintessential British beach spots with golden, sandy stretches, are also close by

Treworgey simply isn't possible to do justice to in a few short sentences. The owners are meticulous about every detail, and care deeply about their business and their clients. As our daughter Poppy grows up, Treworgey will adapt with us for a genuinely wonderful holiday for all ages. I'm so thankful to have found this gem, and we'll be back much more in the years to come. I cannot recommend it to you mamas & papas highly enough!

Lanhydrock
A sprawling, stately National Trust house and gardens, Lanhydrock promises a fun-for-the-whole-family day out boasting bike trails (including circuits specifically for balance bikes), hands on historical activities led by a team of ‘Experience Makers’, and a truly fantastic playground which can be tough to tear the children away from!

Talland Bay
A firm favourite with locals whatever the weather, Talland Bay is home to two secluded coves flanked by rolling hills. Both beaches have cafes, there are toilets in easy reach, and little sandy stretches plus rock pools and shallow water make this secret spot a hit with tiny travellers. Four legged friends are more than welcome too!

The Monkey Sanctuary Trust
Set in beautiful woodlands, The Monkey Sanctuary provides a safe haven for woolly monkeys, capuchins, patas monkeys & barbary macaques. As well as touring the enclosures and learning more from the expert team, there’s a Wild Play Area and interactive trail through the wildlife gardens – even better, ask at Treworgey for a little discount!

The style at Treworgey Cottages is luxury farmhouse. It's warm and wonderfully decorated, but not so precious that I felt uncomfortable with the kids bouncing around. My boys love being in the water so the fact that Treworgey has a pool and hot tub is a big draw. One of the boys’ favourite areas was the huge playground. This play area has everything a child’s heart could desire. Several types of swings. Two slides. A sand and water play setting. Plus a fun Wendy house. Indoors there’s a giant playroom, with a reading & games corner
