Best time to visit
Verdura Resort is open from March to November, and you’ll find our Sicily month by month temperature guide below. The summer months can be a little scorching, so we recommend Easter through to May half term for any sun-sensitive smalls looking for balmy weather in the mid twenties. Blue skies and warm sea waters hold until October, should you fancy an end of the year escape

Deluxe Rooms are Verdura Resort’s entry level options, sleeping 2 adults and a baby in a cot
Families of up to 4 will want the Family Room, which combines two interconnecting Superior Deluxe rooms for not only separate sleep spaces but separate sundowner ones too – with a duo of private terraces
Family Junior Suites and Family Suites are the next step up, combining a Junior Suite and a Deluxe Room and a Grand Suite and Superior Deluxe Sea Front room respectively, sleeping up to 6 across 2 bedrooms and a generous living area which can fit 2 extra beds
Those searching for a solo swim spot will want to snag one of the Pool Suites – all of which come complete with a kitchenette and have interconnecting options too
Interconnecting rooms are confirmed at the time of booking, and cots can be added to the above to accommodate an extra tiny traveller
For the ultimate hassle free holiday experience, Verdura Resort also offers 20 3-4 bedroom villas, where space, serenity and sweeping sea views combine. FAQs
What family facilities are there, and how much do they cost?
Verdùland Kids Club is complimentary for 4-12 year olds, with a €20 (approx £17) per hour fee for those 0-3 years old. You can book in blocks of 4 hours at €75 (approx £63) & 8 hours at €140 (approx £118), both inclusive of lunch. It’s open daily from 10am to 6pm (April, May and October) and from 9am to 9pm (June – September). Parents are welcome to stay and play too
Activities include; cultivating fruits and vegetables in the super sweet bio garden; diving into a world of mythology; discovering more about Sicily’s rich history; becoming a budding scientist in the EduFun Lab; learning how to cook Sicilian specialities; and, ample arts & crafts
Spanning over 450 square meters this epic entertainment space includes: an indoor play area with various zones tailored for different age groups, including a TV room, video games room, science lab, arts and crafts area, and a kitchen for cooking activities. Plus, an outdoor playground and a heated children’s pool
For teenagers, the resort provides a Teen Club with activities such as pool table games and Nintendo, as well as various sports activities

Babysitting services are available upon request and run until midnight at €26 (approx £22) per hour, and increase to €30 (approx £26) per hour after midnight. These rates are per child and each babysitter can look after a maximum of two children
Which equipment is available to borrow for babies & children?
Any and everything you could possibly need! Ranging from baby crockery, high chairs, bibs, bottle warmers and sterilisers, through to changing mats, potties, cots, bed guards, night lamps and play mats can be provided. Bathrooms are set-up with baby bath products, hooded towels and rubber ducks, and Tiny Travellers are sure to love the nightly Verdu’ Hedgehog Teddy Turndown Service
Families can safely explore the car-free resort on the fleet of freely available bikes (with age appropriate baby seats too)
What are the pools like?
Families flock to the 60-metre outdoor pool at Verdura Resort. A lagoon-like, two-tiered, sea-facing masterpiece lined with loungers and closely watched by a lifeguard. This swim spot isn’t heated, but the shaded, shallow children’s pool at Verdùland is – and you’ll be pleased to know there’s lots of inflatables to borrow! Families are more than welcome to use this swim spot whether or not they’re sprogs have checked into the Kids Club or not
The Rocco Forte Private Villas also come with private pools, 8 of which are heated
Adults can also use the mega 4-circuit Thalassotherapy pools at the spa. For those of you who don’t know, Thalassotherapy is a medical cure that utilizes the power of seawater
Is there evening entertainment?
While there’s no mini discos or child-centric evening entertainment, Verdura has a lovely calendar of events for families to enjoy together. During the summer months, Torre Bar features live entertainment by local jazz musicians, providing a relaxed setting for evening drinks. Similarly, guests can enjoy live cooking stations, Sicilian folk music performances, and an array of local flavors at Piazzetta Liolà from June through August. Bookmark the 10th and 15th of August to celebrate San Lorenzo & Ferragosto Nights with traditional Sicilian delicacies, live music and fireworks
What’s the protocol for allergies?
Guests are encouraged to inform the resort of any food allergies or dietary restrictions prior to arrival. This allows the culinary team to prepare and make necessary arrangements. The resort’s chefs are adept at adjusting dishes to accommodate various dietary needs, including gluten-free, vegan, and low-calorie options. They are committed to modifying meals to suit individual requirements
For guests with sensitivities beyond food, the resort offers allergy-free rooms, providing an environment tailored to specific health needs
What’s the dining set up?
Offering foodie flexibility for families, Verdura Resort offers three different board basis options to suit different preferences: Bed & Breakfast includes a daily breakfast buffet. Half Board includes breakfast and dinner, while Full Board includes breakfast, lunch and dinner
Buongiorno: The main breakfast venue, offering a buffet with Mediterranean views. Open daily for breakfast from 7am to 11am
Zagara: An elegant fine-dining restaurant that celebrates Sicilian flavors through seasonal menus crafted by Chef Fulvio Pierangelini. Open for dinner from 7pm to 10.30pm
Amare: A beachfront seafood restaurant where guests can enjoy freshly caught fish with the sound of waves in the background. Open for dinner from 19:00.
Liolà: A traditional Sicilian trattoria serving classic dishes in a family-friendly atmosphere. Open for lunch from 12pm to 4pm and dinner from 7pm to 10pm
Granita Bar: A casual spot for tapas-style Mediterranean dishes and regional specialties, alongside a range of expertly-mixed cocktails. Open from 10am to 5.30pm
Spa Bar: Located within the Verdura Spa, this bar offers fresh fruit and vegetable smoothies and low-calorie light snacks
For children, the resort offers early dining options upon request. Additionally, during high season, Verdùland provides a daily buffet or à la carte menu for children aged 4-12 years
Children’s menus are available across the resort’s restaurants and room service. Children also receive a 50% discount on all kids’ meals

Please note:
In all Verdura restaurants’ menus you will find dishes marked as “premium”. “Premium” dishes are not included in half board or full board but available at 50% off the full price. On Premium dishes it is not possible to receive a 50% discount for kids from 4 to 12 years.
Half Board and Full Board do not include beverages. Guests can choose a three course meal from the dedicated menu.
Zagara and Nagori Restaurants have a smart casual dress code. Gentlemen are kindly asked not to wear shorts. Moreover, to ensure a refined and intimate dining experience for all our guests, restaurant reservations are available for guests aged 12 and above.
