Overview

XO Cape Arnna is bringing its A game to the uber luxe all inclusive scene. Nestled along the Turkish Riviera just outside of Fethiye (our pick for the country’s most authentic and attractive port town), this elegant escape weaves together two exclusive experiences: a family-friendly Resort and an adults-only Club. Those of you who want full force facilities but packaged up into a more intimate setting, keep reading!

Let’s start with childcare shall we? Seemingly conjuring up a Kids Club from every tots’ fantasy, Lumi’s World (5+) is unlike anything we’ve ever seen before. From budding chefs to future scientists, all passions can be pursued here, with thoughtfully designed play zones and interactive experiences including a secret agent training zone, S.T.E.M & Robo Lab, pink paradise beauty salon and pastel-hued soft play (complete with a rainbow slide, ball pit and indoor climbing wall). And did we mention it runs until 11pm? Not stopping there, XO Cape Arnna goes one step further in cementing its title as ‘the coolest hotel ever’, thanks to a trio of waterparks, with thrilling rides, bubbling fountains, water tunnels and tropical themed splash pad

Moving onto adult appeal. And bear with us, there’s a lot of gorgeous ground to cover. More than half a dozen bars & restaurants showcase serious culinary prowess, from moreish Italian and vibrant Mediterranean menus, through to street food-style snacks, an international tea house and *you’ll think you’ve died and gone to heaven* patisserie. The Resort rooms are carefully curated to combine spacious layouts with elegant interiors, brilliantly catering to groups with 2-bed-2-bath options, and swim up suites. A next-level wellness space awaits guests at the spa, where transcendent R&R comes courtesy of a Salt Room, Herbal Sauna, Igloo Room, traditional Turkish Hammam, gym that never closes, and treatments you’ll be waxing lyrical about for years to come

And finally, what we consider the biggest draw, the postcode. Sprawling across three beaches including one secluded cove, with more activities available than we can count, you could easily spend a week on the resort filling every day in a different way. Those who like to dip their toe into local life on holiday are in luck too, with the bustling markets of Fethiye, ancient ruins and national parks all in easy reach. A playground of possibilities for all ages, this new kid on the block has nailed all the ingredients for a stellar family getaway. Book now, thank us later

What family facilities are there, and how much do they cost?

You might want to grab a cup of tea and settle down for a long read, because the list of family facilities on offer at XO Cape Arnna is almost endless

Starting with supervised childcare sessions. The Kids Club is free for those 5 and older and runs from 9am – 11pm 7 days a week, throughout the season. Parents are more than welcome to make use of the gorgeous facilities and stay & play too. We Care in particular is great for toddlers – with all sorts of toys, slides and a ball pit

Coming up trumps with engaging activities, everything from arts and crafts to robotic & S.T.E.M zones, a junior chef kitchen & Animation Studio can be found here

Families with teens in tow will be delighted to hear not-so-tiny travellers have their own lounge space, open the same hours as the Kids Club, with old school arcade games, a PlayStation room and air hockey table. They can also try their hand at the trapeze course and wealth of (chargeable) watersports

In terms of spaces the whole family can enjoy together, there’s a six-slide waterpark for adults and older children, a three-slide waterpark for younger children, tropical themed splash pad, castle-themed outdoor playground (just outside of the Kids Club) and plenty of sports to get stuck into – including beach volleyball, water aerobics, Pilates, yoga and aerial yoga studios, two Padel Tennis courts, a full size tennis court and basketball court

It’s worth knowing there are no babysitting services at the resort

Which equipment is available to borrow for babies & children?

Cots, highchairs, prams and potties are all available to borrow. These are free of charge but it’s best to request them at point of booking. There are a limited number of baby monitors which work on WIFI across the resort. Ask to reserve these at point of booking, but as an FYI the WIFI can be patchy in places

    What are the pools like?

This really is a H2O paradise for waterbabies, with 10 family friendly pools across the resort including a dedicated 40cm deep Kids Pool, Island Pool and Gitano Pool – the latter two are surrounded by insanely comfortable sunloungers and umbrellas. All pools are temperature controlled throughout the season, to ensure a delightful dip no matter the weather

At the XO Water Park you’ll 3 divided zones. One for teens and adults with high-paced rides, one for those 5+ with more sedate slides and a splash pad for the smallest of merpeople where you’ll find bubbling fountains and playful jets

*Children under 5 or under 140cm may use the aquapark under parental supervision, but please note that responsibility remains entirely with the parents/guardians at all times

    Is there evening entertainment?

In a nutshell, yes! From electrifying shows, world-class DJ sets, live music sessions, through to sports festivals, family-friendly events and immersive themed nights, the fun most definitely keeps flowing after dark here. Dedicated children’s discos are held every evening in the Kids Club, from 8.30pm

    What’s the protocol for allergies?

Guests are asked to inform the Guest Services team at check in of any allergies, and will be assigned an allergy card accordingly. Menus at all of the restaurants clearly denote allergens, but sometimes communicating with the staff on this can be a little tricky due to language barriers. A real find for families seeking delicious vegan and gluten-free cuisine, the QuicheNiche section of the main buffet restaurant serves up flavourful, free-from dishes to the utmost standard. You’ll also find gluten and sugar-free sweet treats in the Clementine Patisserie

    Worth waking the baby for

    01

    Fethiye

A short ten minute drive from the hotel, the charming port town of Fethiye is well worth adding to your holiday agenda. Highlights include; walking the waterfront; jumping aboard the Babadag cable car up the mountain; sampling the culinary delights of the market stalls; spotting turtles in the harbour; heading to Oludeniz town for boutique window shopping; and burning off any excess steam at the playgrounds at Sehit Fethi Bey Park

    02

    Butterly Valley

Guaranteed to set tiny hearts aflutter, aptly named Butterfly Valley is a beacon of natural beauty. Home to more than 100 species of flying friends, this protected oasis is best reached by boat for families (with plenty of tours available). Declared a national preservation area, you’ll find more olive, pomegranate, lemon, and orange trees than people here

    03

    Amyntas Rock Tombs

Carved into the cliffs overlooking Fethiye, the Amyntas Rock Tombs date back to the 4th century BC, and stand as one of the few remaining symbols from Lycia. Similar in visual stature to Petra in Jordan, these monuments are easily accessible with tots in tow. Our top tip? Visit at sunset for the most magical photo opps
