Overview
Why choose between the privacy and space of a homestay or the family facilities of a hotel when you can have both. Bruern Cottages are a cluster of 12 honey-hued homes (sleeping 2-14) and are seriously reinventing self-catering stays with a help on hand twist. Inside the chintz yet chic (and oh so comfy) country homes you’ll find fully-equipped kitchens, plush living areas, roaring fires and canopied beds. Thoughtful touches include Elemis toiletries and a generous welcome hamper upon your arrival. For more information on which cottage is right for you, head to Mama Knows Best

A chic home from home, Bruern Cottages is a kid’s paradise, meaning you don’t need to leave the premises to entertain relentless children, whatever the weather. There’s an incredible indoor pool with bifold doors, making it ideal for all seasons. Rainy day? Hole up in the wendy house or heated play cabin with more toys than Hamley's (including a dressing-up box, railway and easel). Older children will love the table football, ping-pong, games consoles and pool table in the Games Room. If the sun is shining, make use of the mini football pitch, pedal tractors, child-sized croquet and cricket sets
Review from other parents
Bruern exceeded every expectation - beautiful, intimate yet spacious, and quietly soul-restoring. Our cottage struck the perfect balance of cosy, quaint, and practical, with everything we could possibly need for travelling with kids within easy reach. The little ones were utterly besotted with the heated indoor pool, playgrounds, play cabin, and wendy house, while we adults could finally breathe, safe in the knowledge that so much had already been taken care of. We visited as a group of friends, but Bruern’s layout is perfect for multi-family or multi-generational trips, and it’s just as thoughtful for paw-rents, with dogs welcomed as warmly as the kids
