Whilst The Wild Hotel might not be traditionally viewed as kid-friendly (there’s no specific club or activities for tiny travellers), it’s seriously parent-friendly. Wild by name, it’s definitely serene by nature – a hidden hideaway on the quieter south east coast of the island. Mykonos might be known for its beaches but it’s also known for its crowds. The Wild is blessed with a private beach that ticks all our boxes; safe, shallow waters; sumptuous shaded loungers under thatched umbrellas and a sea-side food and drink service – because parenting is a lot easier with a coffee (or cocktail in hand). There’s a choice of 40 rooms, suites and villas, whichever you pick, all face the sea and offer jaw-droppingly beautiful views. There’s tons on the menu for tiny travellers at the traditional onsite taverna; think pita and dips, veggies, pasta, plus the BEST ice cream. Highchairs are always available, but there’s also the opportunity to make use of room service. Babysitters can be booked if you fancy a night on the town

If parent-friendly to you means exquisite home-cooked feasts, seriously-snappable interiors and secret secluded seascapes, Melisses is the answer to your prayers. More than your average Airbnb, Melisses is the physical manifestation of the Italian photographer and chef owner’s passions; food, antiques and a slower pace of life. Guests can choose from bedrooms in the main house or an independent cottage (complete with a private pool). Wherever you bed down, expect eclectic design embellishments throughout; with a mix of modern and vintage finds from across Europe and picture-perfect moments in every nook & cranny. Although this is definitely an adults-first retreat, mini mes are welcomed and well catered for; cots, highchairs, toys and play mats are all provided, as well as child-sized cutlery and dishes. While an onsite waterpark may not automatically appeal to the aesthete within you, the clever design here keeps both mini merpeople and their style-conscious caretakers supremely happy. In a stroke of genius, the splash-tastic Anemelia Water Park is flanked by sunloungers and serviced by cocktail-carrying staff. Back on dry land, there’s a chargeable creche for those 4 months + and free Kids Club for those 4+. The daily, complimentary, robotic and ceramic workshops (7+) are a particular highlight. The premium all inclusive here does what it says on the tin, and foodies will not be disappointed. From French fine dining at Celeste, through Pan Asian Kum Kuat and modern Mediterranean Kuzina – not to mention the seaside Deck Bar + Grill, where parents can supervise sandcastle building smalls over leisurely lunches – the wining & dining here is both free and fabulous
Domes of Corfu
You’ve probably heard about Domes – arguably the most famous hotel group on the Greek islands – and for good reason. For a sophisticated spin on sandy toes and salty kisses, you’ll want to check into Domes of Corfu. A seafront sanctuary, expect cool and contemporary interiors, a brilliant Kids Club (from 8 months +), Elemis spa and delicious dining. Foodies will want to google flights stat. Alongside the trio of restaurants there’s a buzzing central piazza dishing up street food. Beach babes won’t be disappointed either – the silk sands and pristine waters are divine

A world away from rambunctious resorts, Kontokali Bay Resort & Spa offers first class family facilities against a backdrop of tranquility. Incredibly peaceful it’s also expertly geared towards entertaining Tiny Travellers, with a complimentary Kids Club (4+), private beach within crawling distance and a raft of watersports to keep tweens in their element. Parents are free to kick back and relax in the spa, or go for a solo swim in the Ionian-facing infinity pool. With 4 locally-led restaurants on site there’s no need to leave the grounds for a taste of Corfu, but the seasoned staff here excel in providing personalised recommendations for culturally-rich experiences. And, with Corfu Town only 10 minutes away it’s easier than ever to balance sunbathing and sightseeing

Designed to mirror the traditional fishermen houses of the island (with a touch more luxe), expect airy interiors and a focus on indoor-outdoor living. Floor to ceiling glass windows frame the dazzling blue sea and sky, allowing everything to revolve around the azure Aegean. Stone steps lead onto a private deck into the sea, where guests are treated to their own pocket of paradise. Not overly child centric, you won’t find a Kids Club here, but the owners warmly welcome tiny travellers and will happily arrange babysitters
