Mallorca is a super easy place to travel to with tinies. Of course one of the best things about island is its amazing beaches (over 250 of them) and for those with tiny kids it offers the dream beach formula: calm, shallow water, soft sand, shade and easy access for buggies and shady spots for buggy snoozes
Playa de Muro is one of the island’s best for this age group. The powdery and golden, and the sea shelves so gently it feels like a giant natural paddling pool. You can walk out for metres with barely a ripple, making it perfect for tiny toes having their first Mediterranean splash. Wooden boardwalks also make buggy access easy – always a win.
Next door, Playa de Alcúdia is another brilliant option. The beach stretches for miles, which means plenty of space to spread out with blankets, parasols and all the baby kit that inevitably comes along. The water is calm, clear and shallow, ideal for litties
For something a little more scenic, Playa de Formentor is hard to beat. Pine trees line the shore, providing natural shade – a lifesaver when visiting with little ones – while the water stays calm and crystal clear. There’s also an amazing beach restaurant that welcomes kids
Take a stroll in family-friendly parks like Parc de la Mar in Palma, where wide paths and playgrounds let toddlers run free safely. Another great spot is Parc de Sa Riera, which has shady areas, toddler swings, and safe play zones. For a hands-on animal experience, farms like Ranxo Ses Roques offer charming petting zoos where tiny animal lovers can meet sheep, rabbits, and donkeys up close. You can also go horse riding there too
When it comes to watery fun beyond the beach, the Western Water Park is fantastic for families with toddlers. It features gentle splash pools, mini slides, and splash zones specially designed for the littlest water adventurers – perfect for little ones without overwhelming big slides or deep pools. And don’t miss the Palma Aquarium – its colourful fish tanks, slow-moving turtles, and mesmerizing jellyfish captivate little eyes without being too intense
Here’s a real family favourite: the vintage train from Palma to Sóller. This charming old steam train chugs through the stunning Tramuntana mountains, crossing tunnels and orange groves – a gentle, scenic ride that toddlers love because there is always something to fun spot out the window and little kids always love a train don’t they?! Once in Sóller, there’s a pretty town square with cafes and you can hop on the old tram that runs down to the nearby port
This lot are the perfect age to really dive into Mallorca’s fun factor! Waterparks like Aqualand El Arenal are huge hits – think giant slides, wave pools, lazy rivers and splash zones – not any parents dream day out but absolutely bliss for kids so worth it to see the smile on their faces. Or if you’re up north, head to Hidropark in Alcúdia, another splashy paradise packed with pools, slides, and playgrounds
For land-based fun, Mallorca offers easy hiking trails that are perfect for families, like the magical walk to the Coves del Drach – an enchanting underground world full of stunning stalactites and a dreamy boat ride across an underground lake that feels straight out of a fairy tale. Cycling is also huge here, with flat, safe bike paths especially around Alcúdia and Port de Pollença. Hiring bikes is easy to do. Pro tip: head out early before the sun cranks up the heat!
Water lovers can try their hand at paddleboarding, kayaking, or snorkelling – super popular around calm spots like Cala d’Or and Port de Pollença, where crystal-clear waters make exploring rock pools total blast. There are plenty of local schools offering beginner lessons for paddleboarding and kayaking, so kids can get expert guidance
Natura Parc is lovely spot. This rescue and rehabilitation centre is home to exotic creatures like monkeys, parrots, and even big cats, all living in natural-style habitats. It’s educational, interactive, and a good shady option in the heat of the day
Kids will go wild for the pirate-themed boat trips leaving from Port de Sóller – complete with treasure hunts and games on board. Then there’s the classic holiday activities that all kids love and you’ll find in lots of towns and villages. Think mini golf, pony rides and swing parks. This island is packed with simple fun

Teenagers often want a mix of adventure, culture, and chill time – and Mallorca totally delivers. Watersports like paddleboarding, kayaking, and snorkelling are everywhere, especially around Cala d’Or and Port de Pollença, where crystal‑clear waters make exploring reefs and marine life a blast. Older teens can even try windsurfing or beginner kite surfing lessons at some beaches where qualified, English-speaking instructors can show them how it’s done
If they love a bit of adrenaline, a visit to Jungle Parc near Santa Ponsa is a must. This treetop adventure park has zip lines, rope bridges, and obstacle courses that challenge even the bravest teens. For something a bit more chilled, Palma’s historic centre is fantastic for wandering – with its gothic cathedral, quirky shops, street art, and cool cafés. It’s also a city with a reputation for being safe, so older teens can explore a little independently while still being within easy reach of the family
One resort that’s especially popular with families who have teenagers is Palma Nova. It’s lively enough to keep teens entertained with watersports like paddleboarding, kayaking, jet skiing, and parasailing, plus mini golf and beach volleyball, but without the intense nightlife scene. There are also plenty of cafés and family-friendly evening entertainment, making it great for families who want fun without the full-on party vibe
The Serra de Tramuntana is another playground for active teens, offering hiking, mountain biking, and even via ferrata climbing routes for those seeking a thrill. Trails to picturesque villages like Deià and Sóller provide stunning views and photo‑worthy stops. For outdoor fun closer to the coast, there are horseback riding centres, go‑karting parks near Palma and even segway tours along scenic promenades
