When’s best to visit?
While sun is (thankfully) a given across Greece, Crete and Rhodes tend to be the warmest year-round, making them ideal for Easter or October half term escapes, while Corfu and the Peloponnese shine brightest in the May to September window. Corfu is known as Greece’s evergreen island, and as such September and October may see some rainy days. LUXME Costa Botanica opens their doors in May and closes them in October

We’re talking an onsite Aqua Park, football pitch, padel and tennis court as well as a mini zoo. Water babies can while away hours of fun in the impossibly beautiful sea or floating down the genius lazy river – don’t worry, mums & dads, there are plenty of comfy sun loungers to supervise from
Best bits:
- An authentic-feeling luxury all inclusive resort, rooted in local Corfiot culture
- The swim set up here is genius – with plenty of wide steps, splash-friendly spots and flumes for all ages
- Ample room options to sleep families of 5 with a generous amount of space for the very affordable price tag!
- Gorgeous sea, with vibey beach club and shallow waters, but you will want to pack shoes for the pebbles

First up, the grounds are BEAUTIFUL. Instead of high rise hotel rooms, your 'holiday home from homes' are housed in a series of low slung ochre toned buildings, with flowers everywhere! The layout really feels like an authentic Greek village, and ticked all of my 'true to country' boxes while going BIG on facilities. The pools are AMAZING. The lazy river (with floats handily provided) was a big highlight. There's also waterslides (with no age restrictions), a mini splash pad and further handful of swim spots - all with wide shallow steps! We loved the authentic all inclusive dining and vibey beach club. In summary? We can't wait to return

The resort was everything we hoped for—beautiful grounds, family-friendly amenities, and an ideal balance of relaxation and fun for everyone. It's a place where you can unwind, indulge in fantastic food, and keep the little ones entertained—all in a serene, picturesque setting. The resort exudes rustic Greek charm, with a laid-back vibe that feels welcoming and spacious. We stayed in one of the Summer Houses, which featured a Family Interconnecting Room with a shaded veranda and a garden view. The accommodation was spacious and offered the right balance of comfort and convenience. The Aqua Park is a huge highlight. There’s something for everyone—young kids can enjoy the shallow baby pool and baby slides, while older kids (and adults) can test their nerves on the slides. My husband often took himself off for a few rounds on the flumes, so it felt like we had our own water park without ever leaving the hotel!

We really enjoyed relaxing at the pools as they have a huge selection of them, also a fantastic kiddie pool section with lots to do with the younger ones. My kids loved the waterslides and tubes to off burn some good energy, as well as the wonderful kids club with daily activities. We booked at the Asian restaurant and what an experience, wonderful drinks, food and atmosphere! They also have an evening dessert parlour at the main bar with delicious tarts and macaroons for a sweet treat late at night. There is lots to do around as well, we visited Cape Drastis for a beautiful view and headed to Corfu town with ice creams and a few drinks and a swim at Faliraki beach bar

The beauty of GRECOTEL LUXME White? You can easily dip in and out of a splashy entertainment scene – while retaining a grown up feel back at base. Little thrill-seekers can dive into the fun at the nearby GRECOTEL Marine Palace & Aqua Park – just a breezy 15‑minute taxi away and totally free for hotel guests. A great option for your child’s first foray into holiday childcare, the Grecoland Kids Club (4+) here is cleverly situated in full view of parents by the pool – ideal if your little one is nervous about being left without you
Best bits:
- With 6 restaurants to choose from you definitely won’t suffer from culinary cabin fever
- Raising the bar when it comes to pool perfection, you’ll find some of the best rooms for H20 lovers here. From Family Guestrooms and Bungalows which spill out onto a shared swim-spot, to the showstopping Villa White Seafront – with the sand and sea quite literally at your doorstep
- Talking of private pools, these can be heated to bath-water-warm temperature, but this is an additional cost. Plus, it’s the only resort in this round up where the main pool is also heated (end April and October)
- Iconic entertainment, with legendary White Parties and epic DJ sets
Bear in mind:
- 70 minute airport transfer
- Small beach and the sea can be a bit choppy
- Flights to Crete can be more expensive than the other Greek islands, and tend to run late into the night

With 6 restaurants to choose from you definitely won’t suffer from culinary cabin fever, but don’t miss out on a trip to Agreco Farms (handily included in the all inclusive package), for estate to plate dining in the hills alongside a cute farmers for the day experience for the kids. There’s a choice of 18 different room types. We stayed in a Lux Me Yali Seafront Suite with a shared swim-up pool, which is brilliant for avoiding day time nap traps. The suite had separate lounge and bedroom areas, plus a large bathroom complete with the all-important tub. Both rooms led out onto the terrace and the incredible pool

Your reviews
The decor was classic Greek style, our room was stunning as we got upgraded to a suite. The resort decor in general was the same. Vibe was clean, white and sunny! The splash pool was great for water babies, and the pebble beach is also great for kids. There was a kids disco every evening and kids also really enjoyed the evening shows or pre show music. The restaurants were great for kids, always highchairs available and the pool bar had a crepe station and ice-cream available throughout the day as well as some fruit and other bits you could grab whenever. Food was great. There was a theme each night at the main buffet at dinner. Breakfast was my favourite - think greek yoghurt with all the possible toppings, hot options and any cereals you could think of (perfect for kids). We ate at 2 of the a la carte restaurants, both were great, but it's worth booking as early in your trip as possible if you want an earlier sitting
