We’ve spent hours reading the hundreds of reviews you’ve shared with us, to produce a visited & verified shortlist of the best family friendly hotels in Morocco. We hope you find this really useful, and if you do, that you consider booking via our complimentary Tiny Travel Agency service or the affiliate links in the article (meaning we make a small commission, and can keep providing you with this kind of content!)
Morocco might not be the first place that comes to mind for a family holiday, but that’s exactly what makes it such a rewarding surprise. With an extended summer season, it offers warm, sunny weather much earlier and later than most of Europe, making it ideal for families chasing sunshine without committing to a long-haul flight. Family-friendly hotels are not only affordable, but often packed with facilities – from pools and kids’ clubs to spacious rooms that make travelling with children easy. Beyond the hotels, Morocco strikes a rare balance between relaxation and adventure, where beach time can be paired with exploring colourful souks. It’s also a brilliant way to gently introduce children to a different culture

We’ve designed Tiny Travelship to make booking your family holiday as simple, transparent, and stress-free as possible. If a hotel is an official Tiny Travelship partner, you’ll be directed to their dedicated listing page in our digital directory, where you’ll find detailed information on everything from flight & transfer times to room layouts, and monthly temperature guides. On these pages, we also provide honest advice on the best way to book. This might be via Tiny Travel Agency, in the instance they price match what you would pay by going direct (whilst seamlessly planning your escape end to end, for free, and even unlocking extra perks!). Or, you might get the best rates by booking with the hotel themselves (though sometimes Tiny Travel Agency can still step in and help, if you’re eager to forgo any holiday headaches). If a hotel isn’t an official partner, we’ll either link you through to booking.com to complete your booking – meaning we make a small commission – or flag that we’d recommend booking via Tiny Travel Agency (again, so you can access great rates & added benefits, whilst receiving complimentary support and insider intel). Either way, rest assured, every hotel we feature has been tried, tested, and genuinely loved by fellow well-travelled parents
If you’re looking for a family-friendly base in Marrakech that doesn’t skimp on style or pull too heavily on the pursestrings, Barcelo Palmeraie ticks all the Tiny Travelships boxes. The opportunities for entertainment are expansive, with a magical ‘Oasis Experience’ desert trail, mini golf, pedalos, trampolines, tennis, pintsized go-karts and a Kids Club 4+. The standout for us? The gloriously warm, heated main pool that your little splashers will never want to leave – complete with a sloping entrance made for toddling toes. Barcelo Palmeraie is the perfect pick for families who want to blend city exploring with poolside lounging, all without blowing the budget
Tucked away just outside the Marrakech frenzy, Casa Abracadabra is a boho-beautiful hideaway that feels more akin to staying at a (very stylish) friend’s villa than your usual hotel. While not family-first, parents are warmly welcomed, with laid-back vibes, large leafy gardens for little legs to run wild, and a picture-perfect saltwater pool. The rooms are all earthy tones, Berber textiles and rustic charm – with plenty of space for everyone to spread out. Mealtimes are a dream too: think Moroccan-meets-Mediterranean feasts served al fresco, with a kids’ menu to keep tiny tummies satisfied. Add in easy access to both the city and local waterpark, plus friendly staff who treat your sprogs like their own, and you’ve got the makings of a group getaway rich in glamour
The tagline for Le Domaine Limoune is rare experiences, everlasting memories, and this one-of-a-kind resort sure delivers. Set on a sprawling organic farm between Agadir and Taroudant, you’ll find private pool suites and charming African Lodges nestled alongside the Limoune Zoo – an expansive sanctuary home to over 100 animals. Shaded walkways, observation points, and carefully designed habitats offer an experience where animal welfare and wonder go hand in hand. Days drift by with dips in the palm-fringed pool, shady playground adventures, and bike rides down lemon-lined paths. There’s even an on-site farm-to-fork restaurant serving up fresh, fuss-free food that pleases grown-up palates and picky eaters alike. With wide open space, a warm welcome and a special touch of nature, it’s a rural Moroccan retreat where everyone – big and small – can truly unwind
With a name that’s synonymous with all-out luxury, guests at the Mandarin Oriental in Marrakech will not leave disappointed. Boasting a sky-high level of service and attention to detail, this hero of hospitality is definitely one to add to your blow-out bucket list. Spacious suites are the entry-level rooms, with panoramic views across the Atlas mountains, while private villas offer lucky guests ginormous bathrooms, private pools and bubbling hot tubs. Little explorers won’t skip a beat, thanks to the colorful Kids’ Kasbah 4+ —a creative, digital‑free zone where carpet‑weaving, pottery, mosaic, and cooking workshops come alive next to friendly farm animals. There’s plenty for grown-ups too: spa sanctuaries with hammams, yoga in the grass, or breezy bike rides before a dreamy breakfast at Shirvan. In other words, this is Moroccan magic that whispers, “relax, reconnect, repeat”—all wrapped up in one hassle-free holiday
With seven sparkling pools to dive into (including a splash-happy zone just for mini merpeople), all-you-can-everything buffets, and a jam-packed RiuLand Kids’ Club (4+) bursting with games, Hotel Riu Palace Tikida Taghazout is the kind of place where boredom doesn’t stand a chance. Set right on a golden beach in Agadir and wrapped in palm trees and sea views, it’s an all-inclusive haven where families can flit between sandcastle sessions, sunset strolls, and snack breaks that seem to appear just when tiny tummies rumble. It’s easy, breezy, and brilliantly built for busy little travellers and their sun-seeking grown-ups
A testament to Moorish palaces and Arab elegance, the stately Selman Marrakech stands at the foot of the Atalis Mountains, perfectly positioned far enough from the hubbub of the city, yet close enough for stress-free sightseeing. A stay here is deeply rooted in local culture and in homage to the purebred Arabian horses. Breathtakingly beautiful facilities, spanning the legendary 80‑metre marble‑lined pool and enchanting Kids Club (4+) through to the sprawling Henri Chenot spa and global dining led by a 2 Michelin star chef, cast a spell over guests big and small. The candy-coloured children’s wonderland is filled with bikes, trampolines, craft workshops, foosball, and soft toys. Equestrians of all ages will fall head over heels for the resident stallions at the stables – with children having the opportunity to pet and groom foals, experience a horse-drawn carriage ride or partake in pony circus trick lessons. Add lush interiors, spacious connecting suites or villas, attentive babysitting and family‑friendly menus, and you’ve got a luxury palace where childhood dreams come true
Widely regarded as one of Morocco’s finest resorts, the Fairmont Royal Palm Marrakech exudes effortless elegance. Nestled in the heart of a centuries-old olive grove, the city itself is under 30 minutes away by car, but this Eden-esque oasis makes you feel mentally a million miles away. Blending Moorish and Mauritian influences, guests can choose to bed down in spacious suites or stand alone villas. Faultless facilities at your fingertips here include; a lake-like pool; four tennis courts; sprawling spa; 18-hole golf course; and, the all important (free!) Kids Club (3+). Tiny Travellers will delight in visits to the resort’s mini farm, while matriarchs of big broods will be pleased to hear 2 bed family suites are available
How do you balance a parent’s passion for serenity with a kid’s thirst for adventure? You check into Oasis Lodges, that’s how. These excotic home from homes combine hotel creature comforts with affordable separate sleep spaces. Onsite you’ll find a handful of landmark restaurants with impressive culinary prowess and a glistening pool. The real trump card here though is the complimentary access to the neighbouring OASIRIA park – a bustling mini village replete with 5 dining destinations, a water-side climbing wall, pirate ship lagoon, twirling tube slides, lazy river and further 8 swim spots. Not only that, the sights, smells and shops of Marrkech’s medina are only 15 minutes away by car. Whether you’re in the mood for a jam-packed day of fun, or need a chill one, the world is very much your oyster
Marrakech has all the ingredients that make for a stellar short haul holiday; great weather, flavour-filled food and an abundance of artisanal wares to bring home. The best boutique bolthole in the city has to be Le Riad Yasmine – a stylish sanctuary proving Pinterest dreams can become a reality. Offering the best of both worlds, this hidden hideaway is footsteps from the main city sights and just 20 mins from the airport, yet the owners have done an incredible job of creating an enveloping oasis of calm. Eight rooms are individually decorated with Berber touches & zellige tiles. Outside, the central courtyard cocoons a plunge pool amidst a lush jungle of plants and loungers – the perfect place to retreat after a day of sensory souk stimulation (within baby monitor stretch of most rooms, too!)
We love our kids – really, we do – but I think it’s fair to say that if you’re looking for *true* rest and relaxation while you’re away, sometimes a Kids Club is the only answer. Enter Four Seasons Resort – with more family facilities than you can shake a stick at, including that all-important creative childcare. Open from 9am-5pm daily, kids aged 4-12 are treated to their own private ‘kasbah’ in the centre of the resort, where they’ll find a theatre, mini kitchen, outdoor play zones and shallow swimming pool. Elsewhere, the Young Adult Centre makes the perfect teen hangout pad, with a basketball hoop, ping pong, table football and more. We all know that absence makes the heart grow fonder, so when you’ve had your fill of solo spa-ing, share magical family moments on camel rides, hot air ballooning, exploring Berber villages or simply splashing around (there are suites with private pools too, if you prefer)
Less than an hours’ drive from Tangier airport, Banyan Tree Tamouda Bay is a beautiful hidden gem all-villa resort perched in front of the Rif mountains. Undeniably romantic – even down to the Andalusian-Moorish architecture – the spot is also brilliantly family friendly. As well as a private gold sand beach, for the tiniest of travellers cots, highchairs and babysitters are available. Slightly bigger children, aged 4+, are welcomed at the free daily Kids Club, with the promise of face painting, sandcastle building, and a steady stream of crafts. But the really good stuff? The spa is award-winning, there are five restaurants and bars to choose from, and private pools are aplenty – bliss with a capital B (from just over £300 a night?!)
A 20 minute drive to Marrakech’s medina, Jnane Tamsna presents an Eden-like escape for those who want to be physically within easy reach of the city (and airport), yet mentally a million miles away. Meaning ‘big garden’, an oasis of plants and trees envelop five pools, fabulously furnished rooms and candlelit paths. Not only are children warmly welcomed, but as well splashing the days away, tennis courts, hire bikes, camel rides and cookery experience await. And for mum and dad? We challenge you to find a more photogenic backdrop to days spent topping up your tan and evenings dining on delicious dishes
In search of a rural retreat to rest and relax? Kasbah Bab Ourika is leading the charge in low-key luxe living, where local traditions sit side by side with spoiling service. Feeling a million miles away from the razzmatazz of the city centre (yet conveniently only a 45 minute drive from Marrakech), the hotel is almost entirely run by Berbers. In a land of spectacular sunsets and endless starry skies, this is a stay rich with authentic ambience. The scattering of suites are beautifully decorated, and the private terraces are in prime position to soak up the immense mountain views. The gorgeous grounds are definitely something to shout about and the vegetable garden is arguably one of the country’s best – with the homegrown produce the cornerstone of the restaurant’s cuisine. Tiny travellers will love the sparkling pool and resident dogs, cats and donkeys. For adults, the invigorating hammam is divine and the soul-stirring scenery unbeatable
Camouflaged within the stunning red desert, scattered amongst canyons, dunes, ridges and gorges sits Agafay Camp – an intimate collection of 20 tents inhabiting an otherworldly oasis. If you holiday more as a traveller and less as a tourist, this one’s for you. Expect a secluded wilderness experience, combined with all the modern comforts you’d expect from a hotel; think aircon, shiny modern bathrooms, plush beds and and the most spectacularly serene swimming pool. This isn’t the land of Kids Clubs, and parents have to lean into their more intrepid side (eating dinner with tots on laps on changing nappies on mats in the sand), however, for older kids it doesn’t get much more exciting than quad biking and camel riding in the lunar desert landscape. Just a one hour drive from the centre of Marrakech, the camp makes a stunning (and very memorable) second stint following a city break
Home to colourful markets, fragrant food stalls and droves of donkeys, lesser-visited Fez offers a slower solution to Marrakech’s more frantic pace of life. One of the largest car-free urban zones in the world, the storied streets are begging to be explored by little legs. Perched on a hilltop with impressive views over the cityscape, Hôtel Sahrai is perfectly positioned to dip in and out of the medina whilst enjoying the 5 star lap of luxury. Guests are welcome to sink into the rooftop infinity pool, be pampered in the Givenchy spa or unwind in the hammam, while extra beds, cots & tailored menus are available for tots
