The best family friendly hotels in Turkey

The Turkish coast doesn’t get the airtime that it deserves. With the same flight time as Greece and an equally sensational shoreline, we’d argue it’s one of Europe’s best beach breaks for families. All Inclusives aren’t in short supply here, but there are a few rewriting the traditional resort holiday rules to entice boutique bolthole goers into their fray. Whether you’re looking for ease of eating, an authentic Aegean abode, or all-singing, all-dancing aquatic adventureland, we’ve got the intel on the best family friendly hotels in Turkey

Is Turkey a good destination for families?

Turkey is a fantastic family holiday destination that consistently overdelivers on value, sunshine and facilities. With relatively short flight times from across Europe, it’s an easy option for travelling with children, and once you arrive, everything feels geared towards effortless family travel. Families are spoiled for choice with all-inclusive resorts that go big on fun – think huge pools, waterparks, kids’ clubs and entertainment that keeps all ages happy from morning to night. Beyond the resorts, Turkey offers a rich mix of culture and history, from ancient ruins and bustling bazaars to beautiful coastline and boat trips that add a sense of adventure

How am I best to book my holiday?

We’ve designed Tiny Travelship to make booking your family holiday as simple, transparent, and stress-free as possible. If a hotel is an official Tiny Travelship partner, you’ll be directed to their dedicated listing page in our digital directory, where you’ll find detailed information on everything from flight & transfer times to room layouts, and monthly temperature guides. On these pages, we also provide honest advice on the best way to book. This might be via Tiny Travel Agency, in the instance they price match what you would pay by going direct (whilst seamlessly planning your escape end to end, for free, and even unlocking extra perks!). Or, you might get the best rates by booking with the hotel themselves (though sometimes Tiny Travel Agency can still step in and help, if you’re eager to forgo any holiday headaches). If a hotel isn’t an official partner, we’ll either link you through to booking.com to complete your booking – meaning we make a small commission – or flag that we’d recommend booking via Tiny Travel Agency (again, so you can access great rates & added benefits, whilst receiving complimentary support and insider intel). Either way, rest assured, every hotel we feature has been tried, tested, and genuinely loved by fellow well-travelled parents

Best for teens, tweens and evening entertainment

XO Cape Arnna

If you’re looking for a base to book to appeal to foodie fanatics, distraction-demanding children and serenity-seeking supervisors, you’re going to want to take note of the name XO Cape Arnna – the newest all inclusive addition to the Turkish Turquoise coast. Flaunting front-cover-worthy good looks, a joyous dining scene and a Kids Club (5+) your sprogs will be raving about for years to come. Pram-friendly walkways meander across the boutique-feeling resort, with a plethora of swimming pools (including the all important shaded-shallow option, gradient entries and sunken sunbeds), bars and restaurants peppered across the grounds. Entertainment possibilities are endless at ‘Lumi’s World’, where themed zones include a ‘Beauty Matrix’ salon, ‘S.T.E.M Robotic’ lab, hidden laser-room for secret agent training, and pastel-paradise soft play ‘We Care’. It’s free to use for those 5+, while those younger can make use of the FABULOUS facilities with parental supervision. Undeniably one of the country’s (if not continent’s) best resorts for school aged kids, there’s no formal childcare for under 5s at XO Cape Arnna, but teens and tweens will think they’ve died and gone to heaven

Best for five-star family facilties

Anda Barut Collection

Newly opened in 2024, Anda Barut Collection is for those self-proclaimed Sani & Ikos devotees, looking for the trademark super elegant ease, just in a different location. And boy oh boy, does this Turkish gem deliver – for both families & foodie alike. Bringing the magic of Disneyland to the Med, the facilities on offer here are truly in a league of their own. We’re talking; carnival-themed evening entertainment, complete with a merry-go–round, roaming rainbow clowns, princesses, and bubble shows; 5-storey waterslide; plus the all important splash pad for tots; and, a comprehensive Kids Club that runs from 10am-10pm. A spoiling all inclusive most definitely in the same league as the aforementioned MVPs, there’s 9 restaurants to dine around, and we’ve got it on good authority that the delicious Olivae Patisserie is worth the plane ticket alone. 8 pools keep water babies in their element, and whilst the beach is more rocky than sandy, the beautifully calm water don’t disappoint

Best for a guaranteed good time

Hillside Beach Club

If there’s one hotel guaranteed to convert you to a full board holiday it’s Hillside Beach Club. Chiselled into pine-peppered cliffs, overlooking a twinkling private bay, this Aegan abode is the poster child for the redemption of resorts. Segueing stereotypes from gaudy to gorgeous, everything from the scenery & spa to restaurant & rooms is downright dreamy. One of Europe’s best boltholes for distraction-demanding tots, it would take us all day to list everything on offer here. The highlights? There’s a babypark for children under three; ‘Kidside’ (4+) complete with waterslides and workshops; and, Broadway-grade evening entertainment. With children gleefully dispatched, parents are free to do as much (or little) as they like. A 5* wellness wonderland, there’s morning yoga sessions, sunset hikes, mountain bike rides and a sea of watersports on offer. Aptly named (and adult-only) Silent and Serenity Beach are the ultimate tonic for overstimulated minds. Need more convincing? Hillside’s returning guest rate is so high it’s been studied by Harvard Business School. And who are we to argue with that?

Best for a sunny spa break

Six Senses Kaplankaya

The Six Senses brand is synonymous with sensational spa hotels, but ask any parent who has been and they’ll (reluctantly) tell you (this is a secret many don’t want to spill), that they’re brilliant for families as well. The Turkish outpost in Kaplankaya boasts all the facilities exhausted parents are looking for (read: complimentary Kids Club 4+, nanny service & safe, shallow beach), plus world-class wellness treatments – because there’s no one more deserving of a mind-blowing massage than a mum or dad! Soundless sleep inducing bedrooms dot the lush landscape, with accommodation choices ranging from private pools to generous villas. The modern Med dining doesn’t disappoint either

Best elevated all inclusive

Lujo Bodrum

There’s no denying Lujo Bodrum is a behemoth of a place, but somehow (and serious credit to the layout and staff) it still manages to feel intimate. One for any self proclaimed resortphobes whose energetic offspring have them considering a chance of stance, this palatial pad manages to feel like a luxury boutique bolthole (just on a much larger scale!). And with size does come some pretty impressive perks. Starting with the Kids Club. Heads and shoulders above anyone else, you’ll find dedicated rooms for every hobby; Lego Robotic Coding workshops; dance & basketball academies; an aquapark; and that previously dreaded, but realistically incredibly useful, evening entertainment. Plus, did we mention it doesn’t close until 2am?! There are 9 all inclusive a la carte restaurants, swim up rooms, sands which are up there with Europe’s best and the chicest cabanas we’ve ever laid eyes on. To give it to you straight, this level of luxury doesn’t come cheap – especially during the school holidays. Fortunately, Turkey’s summer season starts early and ends late. Consider April, May or October for the best deals

Best authentic all you can eat

Club Marvy

Spanning over 180 acres, Club Marvy may be a resort by name but it feels more like a mini-village by nature – and a super chic one at that! Bringing a taste of Ibiza to Turkey, the design style here speaks the White Isle’s boho language. An aesthete’s dream, it’s rare to find an all inclusive this beautiful to behold. But bucking conventions is just one (of many) things that Club Marvy excels at. The food may be all you can eat, but there’s also an applaudable commitment to minimum mileage, with menus spotlighting locally grown. Family, rather than big brand, run, personal touches shine through and allow for a rooted-in-place themed vacay. Kids are more than catered for with a Kids Club (4+) and onsite waterpark (trust us, in this context it’s not an eyesore), but parents wanting to shrug off their responsibilities for an afternoon (or all week – no judgements here!) can slink off to the adults only beach for some much deserved downtime

Best for aqua adventures

Lara Barut

The most ‘traditional’ resort in this roundup, Lara Barut may lack a little authenticity, but it more than makes up for it with facilities – and price! With all inclusive rooms starting from as little as £432 p/night, you’ll be hard pushed to find better bang for your buck. Alongside a Kids Club 4+ and substantial waterpark, there’s 9 pools, a sprawling spa, endless restaurants and thoughtfully placed playgrounds (including a pirate ship on the sand). Going out of their way to make things as easy as possible for parents, the hotel takes on the mantle of Mary Poppins, providing everything from carriers & prams to bottle warmers & monitors. Travelling with teens? The LOL club (complete with table football, ping pong and graffiti spaces) is sure to put a smile on even the most hormonal of faces

Best for serviced villas

Rixos Premium Bodrum

There’s no need to pro and con an all inclusive vs a villa holiday, because at Rixos Premium Bodrum you really can have the best of both worlds. Seriously boujee home from homes sit alongside spacious suites and deluxe rooms in a beach blessed landscape of fragrant forest and twinkling turquoise sea – handily only 25 minutes from the airport. There’s no denying this coastal complex is supersized, but clever spatial planning retains pockets of privacy. Follow a pram friendly pier to the hotel’s private island, where you can hire Hawaiian cabanas for the ultimate slice of seclusion. Tots will happily check into the Kids Club (4+), freeing up parents to float from one swim or snack spot to the next

Best for luxury living

Maxx Royal Belek Golf Resort

A bona fide hotspot for frazzled families, Maxx Royal Belek Golf Resort is an easy yes for parents seeking refined resort living. Guardians of mini merpeople will want to plump for a 2 bed Laguna Suites – for direct access to the pool from your terrace, and separate sleep spaces. With menus spanning the Mediterranean through to the Far East (with a Michelin-starred restaurant also in the line up), there’s plenty of culinary choice here to keep even the fussiest of eaters in their element. And, once your children have experienced the joy-inducing juggernaut that is Maxxi Land it might be hard to convince them to holiday elsewhere! Home to different Kids Clubs from 1 +, tots are treated to an outdoor adventure park with climbing walls, Dinoland and aquapark. If the Turkish sun gets too much there’s no shortage of fun indoors either, with a music room, mini theatre, games arcade and bowling alley!

Best fairytale adventure

Kelebek Special Cave Hotel & Spa

If holidays to you mean more than just a passport stamp, a trip to Cappadocia is as close as it gets to stepping into the pages of a fairytale. A UNESCO World Heritage site, the lunar-like landscape is dotted with underground cities, ancient villages and towering chimneys. Whilst it does take some commitment to get there (the fastest route involves changing planes in Istanbul along the way), we promise the floating fleet of hot air balloons that soar into the sky at sunrise each morning is a memory not to be missed. Bed down at boutique bolthole Kelebek Special Cave Hotel for an onsite Turkish Bath and ridiculously scenic swimming pool. Our top tip? Book room 22 for an incredible alfresco jacuzzi

Best hidden gem holiday

Cocos The Club Solto

Something of a secret amongst staycationing locals, Alacati has largely flown under the UK’s family radar. Home to cobbled lanes, artisan boutiques and charming restaurants, it’s a place many would prefer to keep off the map! Being gatekeepers is not something we’re good at – which is why we want to introduce you to Cocos The Club Solto. With only 88 rooms it’s a lot smaller than the other hotels on this list, which we know will be music to many of your ears. In this neck of the woods hotels mainly offer bed and board, but Cocos The Club Solto stands out for pairing amenities with authenticity. Accommodation comes in the form of 2 storey sunshine-hued houses, which dot winding paths towards the pool, restaurants and beach. You won’t find a Kids Club here, but for families seeking time together, that’s part of the appeal

Best foodie scene

D Maris Bay

Readers, be warned: if you check into D Maris Bay, you’re going to have a very hard time leaving. One of the country’s top hotels, no one departs this people-pleasing-pad disappointed. Let’s start with the location shall we? Built on an unspoiled stretch of Turkey’s turquoise coast, spread out over not 1, not 2 but five white-sand beaches, sensational seclusion is the name of the game here. For the culinary curious, there’s high-end dining across 6 delicious destinations (including a ‘Salt Bae’ Nusr-Et outpost); serenity-seekers will feel right at home in the sumptuous spa, while those with a high activity appetite will appreciate the extensive number of sporting facilities, which includes tennis, sailing, surfing and diving. The stellar Kids Club welcomes tiny travellers from 4+, where the Montessori-trained staff lead painting, bowling and even chess classes. With a slice of sea universally praised as one of the clearest in the region, one of the most comprehensive wellness programmes we’ve ever seen, and standout staff, we promise you’ll feel properly rested after your indulgent escape here

Best uber luxe escape

Cullinan Belek

Widely regarded as Antalya’s A* All inclusive, Cullinan Belek dishes up a globetrotting array of all inclusive culinary delights, enough activities to fill a month-long holiday sesh and a star-studded childcare scene. A sprawling, uber-luxe, resort awaits guests, with a fully-fledged water park (where aquatic activities span a splash pad through to thrilling rides), plethora of shimmering pools, and extensive-array of entertainment on offer for both adults and minis alike. For offspring, there’s a Kids Club (2+) which operates until 2am(!), where boredom-busting activities include painting, fashion design and DJ workshops, alongside a pottery room, cinema and giant outdoor playground. The ice-cream hued soft play indoor adventure park has to be seen to be believed, and will have your sprogs begging to return year on year. Adults are set to be equally as enamored, with a bliss-inducing spa, pristine 36-hole golf course and delightful collection of restaurants, where highlights include an authentic al fresco Greek taverna (complete with traditional dancing and plate smashing), rooftop Italian and Japanese teppanyaki grill

Best culture-rich postcode

Barut Hemera

An ancient port city with boho-chic vibes, restaurant-lined harbours, time-paused Greco-Roman ruins and pretty beaches, Side, on the Turkish Riviera, encapsulates everything we love about a Mediterranean getaway. Just a 30 minute stroll from the sights and smells of this charming resort town is Barut Hemera – a 5* all inclusive designed with families in mind. You’ll find carefully crafted childcare for all ages here; from their Bary Star Baby Concept, which provides all the bits and bobs travelling with little-uns demands – from prams and monitors through to sterilisers and bottle warmers; to the generous Kids Club (4+), which includes a mini football field, soft play area and movie theatre.
