1. Mauritius

Heritage Le Telfair Golf  & Wellness Resort

Newly crowned parents, take note: if there were ever a moment to lean into long-haul luxury, this would be it – and Heritage Le Telfair Golf & Wellness Resort in Mauritius makes a very persuasive case. In a destination where many kids’ clubs draw a firm line at age three, this place quietly rewrites the rulebook with its complimentary Baby Club welcoming little ones from birth. Yes, zero. With an attentive two-to-one ratio of babies to trained nurses, it’s the sort of set-up that allows you to exhale properly – whether that means via a spa circuit, a round on the championship golf course (complete with junior academy for future trips), or simply a sun lounger and a book you might actually finish. The resort unfolds along a pristine stretch of sand, where colonial-style suites come generously proportioned, interconnecting options make family stays seamless, and dining spans an impressive collection of restaurants – from farm-to-fork island cuisine to Asian fusion, North Indian specialities and wood-fired Italian classics. Located on the South coast, it can feel a little windier here, but the gorgeous heated pool is one of the island’s warmest

Beyond the beach, wildlife safaris into the neighbouring nature reserve reveal deer and wild boar, with hidden waterfalls providing a cinematic cool-down. June, in particular, is a sweet spot in Mauritius: reliably balmy days, lower humidity, and a level of space and service that would command eye-watering prices in mainland Europe. While flights may cost more than a quick hop to Spain, this is the golden window before you’re paying for an extra seat – when your baby is still content to snooze and snack at 30,000 feet – and the luxury-to-cost ratio tips gloriously in your favour

2. France

Country Kids

Location is just the first of many reasons why Country Kids should top your list for travelling with a baby. A hop, skip, and jump away in France, the flight is short enough that there’s barely time for tears, tantrums, or nappy blowouts – making it one of those rare escapes where the journey doesn’t feel like part of the challenge. Once you arrive, you’ll discover a family holiday unicorn: intimate vibes combined with resort-style facilities – the travel equivalent of actually making and drinking a hot coffee in one go. Rare? Yes. But unheard of? Not any more

Seven home-from-homes offer privacy and comfort, while every detail is designed around real-life family needs. It’s the kind of place where boutique charm meets total family functionality. The Kids’ Club entry age is nothing short of revolutionary – babies from three months upwards are welcomed, a rarity even in the largest international resorts, let alone in a hidden gem like this. Taking “packages” to a whole new level, Country Kids includes food, drinks, babysitting for two nights, one spa session, and two off-site activities per guest. Dinner is dished up for you, daily housekeeping handles the mess, and there’s even a complimentary washing and ironing service. When it comes to pools, variety is the name of the game: a main heated pool at 30°C all season, a separate paddling pool and mini water slide for tiny legs, and an adults-only option for a little peace. Parents, you can book this with confidence that everything your little ones need is on hand – from borrowed baby equipment to swim nappies, wipes, sun cream, snacks, and purees – and it’s all free!

3. Ibiza

Grand Palladium Select Palace

Off the plane, on a sun lounger, within the hour – yes, really. If your dream is to flop by the pool, sip cocktails guilt-free (no big bill at checkout!), and hand your new bundle of joy over for a short stint of childcare, Grand Palladium Select Palace is your kind of place. Just ten minutes from Ibiza Airport, this resort is perfect for parents who want to start the holiday yesterday. June in Ibiza? Warm but not scorching, ideal for the teeniest of travellers

As Ibiza’s largest all-inclusive resort, size here comes with perks that genuinely make life easier. The Baby Club welcomes newborns – yes, you read that right and pools are the plentiful: a gentle-entry option for those still finding their swim legs, a splash pad with slides and sprinklers cleverly surrounded by loungers, and enough space to feel like you’re not holidaying with a bunch of strangers. Evenings are effortless: mini discos for older siblings, seven really rather tasty restaurants to chase cabin fever away, and the 24-hour sports bar Xtra Time – basically your lifesaver when hanger (yours or theirs) hits. Honestly, we wouldn’t blame you for booking this holiday before, during, or just after birth – because yes, you deserve it

4. Greece

Aulūs Lindos Rhodes by Domes

If you’re a frequent flier on @tinytravelship (and, thank you!), you’re probably well versed in the Domes universe. This hotel brand has truly perfected the art of family-friendly luxury – the kind where chic design and serious style coexist happily with cots, highchairs and very small humans. Think polished, architectural resorts that feel elevated rather than overwhelming; restaurants that serve genuinely delicious, destination-led dishes; world-class crèches, beautifully run childcare and thoughtful family suites. Whether you’ve travel-tested your way around the other resorts or are looking for the most spend-savvy entry option, you’ll be *delighted* to hear about their latest opening. Launching this spring on the sun-drenched southeastern coast of Rhodes, Aulūs Lindos Rhodes by Domes brings a fresh, family-focused energy to the brand’s ultra all-inclusive Aulūs collection. Set right on the beachfront, it pairs Domes’ signature design-led aesthetic with the kind of practical luxury parents quietly pray for: private-pool suites for space and sanity, four destination-driven restaurants, and a Montessori-inspired Kids’ Club that promises more than just a glorified classroom

Location-wise, it’s a gift. Just minutes by car from Lindos Village, days can effortlessly drift from poolside lounging to cobbled-street exploring. Lindos itself is all whitewashed houses, bougainvillea-draped alleyways and sugar-cube rooftops, crowned by its dramatic 4th-century BC Acropolis. Families can climb to the top for sweeping coastal views, weave through the maze of artisan shops, snorkel in the crystalline waters of St. Paul’s Bay, or settle in for sunset dining on a panoramic rooftop terrace. It’s the sort of place where sightseeing flows seamlessly into swimming and sunbathing – and where parents get culture and cuisine, while children get beaches and freedom. In short, it’s Rhodes done the Domes way – stylish, seamless and thoughtfully designed for real family life – but this time with the added ease of a traditional all-inclusive set-up and a far more accessible price point

Toddlers (2 to 3)

5. Spain

OKU Andalusia

If you’re craving genuine adult ambience, restaurant-worthy dining (because let’s face it, sometimes buffets just won’t cut it), but you’re also schlepping a high-octane toddler who needs – or more accurately, demands – a seriously robust entertainment schedule, OKU Andalusia is your dream come true. This sun-drenched Andalusian escape somehow nails the impossible: barefoot luxury for parents, and adventure overload for little ones. The Kids’ Club welcomes toddlers from age two, and its epic outdoor playground is more than enough to keep even the most energetic explorer happy

Three terraced pools form the resort’s social heart, with an adults-only beach club pool opening this summer, complete with DJ sets – a fleeting but glorious chance to relive your pre-parent past, even if just for a minute. Dining is effortlessly elevated across four restaurants, from toes-in-the-sand snacks to punchy Asian fusion and inventive twists on classics, giving parents meals they actually want to Instagram. In short, OKU Andalusia doesn’t make you choose: toddlers can easily burn off their excess energy, parents get genuine R&R, and everyone leaves feeling like this holiday delivered

6. UK

Three Mile Beach

If the thought of wrestling a toddler through airport security feels less “holiday” and more endurance sport, a staycation starts to look extremely appealing. Because sometimes the greatest luxury is being able to throw everything (and we do mean everything) into the car. And where better to land than Cornwall in June? It’s arguably one of the UK’s closest approximations to the Mediterranean – only without the flight. You get the salt-in-your-hair, sun-on-your-face feeling of southern Europe, but on home soil. Now which base to book?

Any parent will agree – when you’re in the trenches of toddler-dom, absolute ease is the name of the game on holiday – and that’s exactly what Three Mile Beach promises. Not only are their beach houses unbelievably stylish (think effortless scandi chic with some colour and quirk thrown in), but they’re scattered just back from the sand dunes – meaning that three miles of pristine golden sand is just footsteps away. Far from heading to the beach feeling like a mammoth effort, it’s ready and waiting on your doorstep, for post-breakfast paddles, easy afternoon sandcastles or sunset strolls. Plus, look forward to a peaceful night’s sleep (well, as peaceful as possible…) with your little one(s) tucked up in their own room, after you’ve enjoyed your private sunken hot tub and barrel sauna, (every beach house has them in the garden, as the ultimate end-of-day reward). Evenings have a lovely buzz thanks to on-site restaurant Chomp, serving relaxed, locally sourced plates and cocktails in a setting where they’re free to act a bit feral. Or, there are options for pizza nights, private chefs and delivery to your terrace if staying in is easier. You’re also perfectly placed to explore some of Cornwall’s most beautiful spots, including St Ives, with plenty of toddler attractions to boot

7. Mallorca

Blau Colonia Sant Jordi

If you’re after a chic Balearic bolthole that won’t leave your wallet gasping, Blau Colonia Sant Jordi is an absolute gem. And we’ll hedge a bet that its name isn’t on many people’s lips yet – so yes, you can feel rather smug about being in the know. Tucked into Mallorca’s unspoilt southeast, it’s just a leisurely stroll from the tiny, charming village of Colonia Sant Jordi, one of the island’s lesser-known foodie havens. Here, you can wander from tapas bars to bakeries without ever reaching for a car seat strap, and when the airport is only forty minutes away, you can get from wheels-up to sun-soaked sand faster than your toddler can ask “are we there yet?”

The resort itself is refreshingly low-key. Low-rise buildings nestle among mature trees, ponds, and swathes of green, creating a village-like calm that’s a welcome relief from the concrete-heavy megacomplexes elsewhere on the island. While toddlers might be too young for the supervised Kids’ Club sessions (ages four and up), they’ll be magnetically drawn to the pirate-ship splash pool and playground, where hours of play practically take care of themselves. For parents who don’t need formal childcare but really would rather like to get at least a few pages deep into their book, Blau Colonia Sant Jordi delivers in spades. And have we mentioned yet one of Mallorca’s finest beaches is just a ten minute drive away?We may have just let you in on Mallorca’s best-kept family secret – don’t worry, you can thank us later

8. Denmark

Kanalhuset

City breaks with toddlers live or die on location, and Kanalhuset in Copenhagen absolutely nails it, sitting right on the canals in Christianshavn so you can walk almost everywhere without transport logistics. The apartments are a huge win for families, with beautiful, spacious layouts that give everyone room to breathe (and separate sleep spaces), while still feeling design-led and special rather than purely practical (though that box is ticked too – some options have even have full laundry facilities as well as kitchenettes). Kanalhuset’s communal bar and restaurant create a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere where children won’t garner a second glance, whether you’re stopping for breakfast, an early dinner or a glass of wine once they’re asleep. Baby monitor signal will stretch from quite a few rooms, and there’s even one apartment located directly opposite the area, so you can enjoy your drink in full view of your room door. Copenhagen itself is brilliantly toddler-friendly, with highlights including the National Museum of Denmark’s incredible children’s area and the hands on Experimentarium, plus playgrounds, canals and bike rides everywhere you turn. You’ve got to give it to the Danes – Copenhagen is a city that’s both achingly cool and still completely doable with little ones

If you want a way to seriously elevate your city break, consider adding on a short road trip to the seaside.  Hornbæk is just a 35-minute drive from Copenhagen – a charming coastal town on the Zealand coast. Think rolling sand dunes, crystal-clear water (albeit a little brisk for swimming most of the year), a quaint harbour, and lovely independent shops. It’s relaxed, picturesque and exactly the change of pace you want after a few days in the city. Our favourite place to stay? Hotel Hornbaekhus. A quintessential boutique bolthole. While not child-centric it ticks all your boxes if you love beautiful wallpapers, soft furnishings and whimsical, thoughtful design. While it feels stylish and grown-up, children are warmly welcomed too. You’re also close to some fantastic sights, including Hamlet’s Castle (Kronborg) and the Viking Ship Museum, making it easy to mix in more culture with coast

Ikos Olivia

If you’re thinking of giving the Ikos brand a try, Ikos Olivia is where to start – and we’d strongly recommend doing it before the tyranny of school holidays locks you into peak-season prices. Warning: Ikos has a very particular way of taking over your family holiday plans. Visit once, and suddenly “next summer” is already pencilled in. The good news? On this inaugural escape, your bank account takes a gentler hit

Freshly renovated and sparkling with style, Ikos Olivia offers genuinely brilliant value. Its Heroes Crèche welcomes babies from around six months, while the full Heroes Kids’ Club keeps 4-12-year-olds entertained. The resort isn’t just about childcare: a powder-soft Blue Flag beach is literally steps away, and the four pools include an epic splash pad. Rooms and suites are bright, spacious and clever, with family-friendly layouts, bungalows for more space, and private pool options. Put it all together and Ikos Olivia in June feels like the ultimate last hurrah before September comes calling

10. Crete

Miraggio Thermal Spa Resort

If your preschooler is just shy of school age we’d be willing to bet you’re looking for a resort that can keep up with their energy levels – while helping soothe yours. Enter Miraggio Thermal Spa Resort. This isn’t just another glitzy 5-star family hotel – it has all the bells and whistles you’d expect from the big names, and then some

Perched dramatically on the cliffside with views that flirt with Olympus itself, Miraggio is a rare blend of indulgent pampering and child-centric playground. Parents can drift between adults-only pools, soak in mineral-rich thermal waters, and luxuriate in a swoon-worthy spa. Meanwhile, the kids are in a world of their own at the *huge* Kid’s Planet (6 months plus), a six acre riot of soft play, splash pads, bouncy castles, mini race tracks complete with toddler-sized Range Rovers, and meet-and-greets from Madagascar and Ice Age characters. Even better, there’s a fully equipped family playroom for those moments you want to spend together. Space, comfort, and style come naturally here. Suites and rooms are generous and cleverly designed, some with private pools that turn naptime into an adults only holiday experience. Dining is an adventure across eight restaurants, offering everything from fresh Mediterranean classics to international flavours, with parents and picky little eaters alike are well looked after. Outside, three sparkling pools and a sugar-soft, Blue Flag beach mean days flow from pool to sand to paddle without a hint of stress

11. Malta

The Westin Dragonara Resort

If there’s one destination in Europe that somehow manages to capture the very best of the continent in one small island, it’s Malta. Think seascapes that could rival Greece, Italian-inspired cuisine that tastes like it was flown straight from Naples, and picture-perfect limestone streets that look like they’ve been lifted from Puglia or Croatia. Puglia. Valletta, in particular, is all winding cobbles and dramatic viewpoints – utterly gorgeous but also unapologetically hilly and stitched together with staircases. In other words, it’s perfect for families whose little ones have graduated from “carry me” to “race you to the top”

The Westin Dragonara Resort makes the practical side of things effortless. With a Kids’ Club for ages 3+, an outdoor playground, and the island’s only heated outdoor pool – ideal for early summer swims – it strikes that sweet spot between city base and resort beach retreat. There’s a shallow splash pool for younger children, an indoor spa pool when a break from the sun is in order and a small swimming cove. And because nowhere on the island is more than 30 minutes away by car, families can pivot easily between beach mornings, museum afternoons, harbour boat trips and Game of Thrones backdrop spotting – essentially rolling five different holidays into one week. Accommodation only adds to the appeal. The rooms, particularly the Luxury Bay Suites, are generously proportioned and feel far more like apartments than standard hotel set ups, offering genuinely affordable separate sleep spaces

12. Italy

Falkensteiner Family Resort Lido

For tiny travellers on the cusp of donning uniforms and lining up for their first assemblies, Falkensteiner Family Resort Lido is nothing short of a dream come true – and one they’ll be recounting in show-and-tell for months afterwards. Swapping the beach for the mountains in summer suddenly makes perfect sense when you realise the Alps deliver that just-right climate: warm enough for swimming and sunbathing, yet cool enough for outdoor exploring without any risk of heatstroke Goldilocks would be entirely on board

Set against the dramatic backdrop of South Tyrol, this is a resort where adventure isn’t an add-on – it’s woven into every corner. Soon-to-be school-goers can pack more activities into a week here than you’d manage over the course of a term at home. There’s a year-round ski slope (yes, even in summer), trampoline zones and multiple playgrounds. The headline act, undeniably, is the extraordinary 7,000sqm Sky Adventure Park: a rooftop wonderland complete with a Bobby Car racetrack, climbing features and South Tyrol’s longest indoor waterslide. Water babies are equally well catered for. The resort’s expansive aquatic world includes indoor and outdoor pools, splash zones and family-friendly swimming areas that make mountain holidays feel every bit as splashy as a coastal break. Parents can take full advantage of the supervised childcare programme, welcoming little ones from six months upwards. That means actual, bona fide relaxation in the adults-only spa, complete with saunas, steam baths and serene spaces designed for switching off. And here’s the unexpected upside: serious school-gate clout. Because when your five-year-old is vividly retelling their Alpine exploits, you won’t just have given them a brilliant holiday – you’ll be holding the most sought-after recommendation in reception
