How am I best to book my holiday?

We’ve designed Tiny Travelship to make booking your family holiday as simple, transparent, and stress-free as possible. If a hotel is an official Tiny Travelship partner, you’ll be directed to their dedicated listing page in our digital directory, where you’ll find detailed information on everything from flight & transfer times to room layouts, and monthly temperature guides. On these pages, we also provide honest advice on the best way to book. This might be via Tiny Travel Agency, in the instance they price match what you would pay by going direct (whilst seamlessly planning your escape end to end, for free, and even unlocking extra perks!). Or, you might get the best rates by booking with the hotel themselves (though sometimes Tiny Travel Agency can still step in and help, if you’re eager to forgo any holiday headaches). If a hotel isn’t an official partner, we’ll either link you through to booking.com to complete your booking – meaning we make a small commission – or flag that we’d recommend booking via Tiny Travel Agency (again, so you can access great rates & added benefits, whilst receiving complimentary support and insider intel). Either way, rest assured, every hotel we feature has been tried, tested, and genuinely loved by fellow well-travelled parents

Tucked along Crete’s golden coastline, just ten minutes from the storybook harbour of Rethymno, this boutique beauty brings together chic design, authentic Greek charm, and seriously standout family-friendly credentials. And the reason it’s included in this round up? The collection of 2–4 bedroom villas sleeping up to 9, many with private pools and direct beach access—just open the door and step straight onto the sand. Grecoland Kids Club keeps little ones (4+) happy with arts, crafts, cooking and outdoor play, while teens can dive into scuba, watersports or mountain biking. Meanwhile, parents can chill poolside, stretched out by the lagoon-like saltwater pool or sampling the local Cretan fare at the onsite restaurants —though we love the fact local tavernas are just a short walk away for a more traditional meze moment. Add in the Dine Club half-board setup (kids get snacks and buffet lunches included, plus à la carte credit), and you’ve got the makings of a family escape that’s equal parts stylish and stress-free

The unofficial motto at Verdura Resort in Sicily is bigger is better; from the theme-park-sized Kids Club (with an almost unheard of entry age of newborn) through to the setting itself, sprawling across 200 hectares of lush Mediterranean landscape and a postcard-perfect stretch of sand. The rooms and suites themselves are larger than most, but guests looking to up the ante on space and privacy will want to book into one of the 20 3-4 bedroom villas perched on a hilltop above the resort. Here you’ll find airy and elegant interiors, serene courtyards and sun-soaked swimming pools. It’s worth knowing only 8 of these pools are heated, so if a warm watering hole is a priority for you make sure to mention it when booking! Alongside your uber luxe home from home, families can make use of the extensive sporting facilities (including professionally led academies), two-tiered lagoon-like swimming pool and roster of restaurants with their mouthwatering menus

The jewel in L’Andana’s crown, La Scuderia is this boutique resort’s only villa – and one any foodie families should snap up pronto. A four-bed, all en-suite, two-story residence, lucky guests also have use of a sprawling garden, private pool, and surreal views of the postcard-perfect surrounding Tuscan scenery. Outside of your personal home-from-home, highlights of the hotel include: a Michelin-starred restaurant, Kids Club (3+), trio of swimming pools, vineyard, swings, slides & bikes to borrow. Prime for both sunbathing and sightseeing, not only are there plenty of storybook villages in easy reach, you’re only a shell’s throw from the sea too – and for the ultimate convenience, the hotel runs a complimentary shuttle to and from the beach. Now, that’s what we call l’amore

£££

Toes-in-the-sand, steps from the sea villas aren’t the easiest to find in Europe. Usually the reserve of the other side of the world, a prime, private, postcode is gold dust on our continent, which is why we’ve fallen so head over heels in love with the Master Infinity and Ambassador Villas (sleeping 4 a piece) and Royal Villa Methoni (complete with 3 bedrooms, and is own private spa & gym!) at Greece’s The Romanos Costa Navarino. Other highlights of the resort? As part of the Costa Navarino estate (think, a similar set up to Sani), guests have access to a whopping 40 restaurants and four 18-hole golf courses across four 5* hotels. Head over next door to The Westin Resort to check your sprogs into the Kids Club (4 months +), or make use of the waterpark, indoor climbing wall and outdoor ‘Escape Game’

£££

There’s only one villa on the grounds of OKU Andalusia, so we urge you to act FAST to snag your stay. Boasting 4 all-ensuite bedrooms, an open plan living space with floor-to-ceiling doors gazing directly onto the ocean, and a stunning terrace with a private swimming pool, it’s perfect for groups seeking luxury, service and privacy in equal measure. A newcomer to the Costa del Sol, this boutique, beachfront resort elegantly combines an adult atmosphere with family-first facilities. The killer design definitely lends to the peaceful vibes; think, minimalist interiors and nature-inspired details offering a calming and insanely comfortable backdrop, but the adults-only Beach Club (and complimentary childcare starting from 2+) provides opportunity for mama (and papa) to let their hair down

Calling all Sani and Ikos devotees. If you’re looking for the same level of luxury, but fancy trying a different location, take note! One of the best hotels in the whole of Greece, CORFU IMPERIAL – A GRECOTEL RESORT TO LIVE may largely fly under the UK school gate circuit, but it’s a unique utopia for gourmand group getaways. We promise, the captivating cuisine can easily go toe-to-toe with the more famous island hotspots, but it is worth knowing this to-fly-for dining destination offers half board, not all inclusive. Music to the ears of those who like to fully taste test a new country, the tantalising taveras of Corfu Town can be reached via a complimentary 30 minute shuttle from the hotel, or, a Bond-girl-giving water taxi. Onto the accommodation. Modelled on an Italian village, rooms, suites, bungalows and villas are sprinkled around grounds that could easily be mistaken for Como or Garda. The most rockstar of the rooms have to be the waterfront collection nestled on the beach. Families of older kids will go ga-ga for the 2 bed Roc Villa with private sea deck and terrace, whilst those wanting to have their H2O cake and eat it too should plump for a 2 or 3 bed Beachfront Villa with private pool. For the last word in luxury, gangs of up to 8 can move into (and never want to move out of) the Two Villa Residence with – wait for it – its own private pool and beach!

Balancing peace & privacy with ease-inducing amenities, The Peligoni Club knows how to orchestrate a faultless family holiday. Nestled in the north-eastern corner of Zakynthos, where herds of goats outnumber Brits abroad, this hybrid holiday is for those seeking both a relaxing retreat and strong social scene. The club itself has all the trimmings of a luxury resort, with guests having the run of restaurants, bars, a pool, spa & gym. The only thing missing? The accommodation. A genius twist on ‘standard’ stays, villas & cottages (of all sizes) are instead found sprinkled around the surrounding hills. Mornings can be spent lounging next to your private pool, before heading off to ‘the club’ for afternoons lazing, grazing and catching up with new friends. Twinkling ocean-front setting and boho beautiful vibes aside, the real gem in Peligoni’s crown is the brilliantly considered childcare. The creche caters for tots from as little as 4 months (an entry age that trust us is not easy to come by); school aged smalls can bounce between sailing lessons & pool volleyball; whilst older offspring can safely roam free (under the supervision of ‘teen leaders’)

An ode to Greek’s famous hospitality, family-run Eagles Palace may have the bells & whistles of a large resort, but the seasoned service is more akin to staying with friends. Committed to providing an unparalleled experience for parents, broods will not be disappointed by this Hellenic hideout. Starting with room choices. Upping the ante on serviced seclusion, souped-up villas perch prettily above the sister hotel. The private pools and glorious ocean views don’t come at a compromise to traditional facilities either. There’s no dialling down on the luxuries associated with enviable family holidays here. Simply head ‘downstairs’ to make use of the perks of the palace; namely, a highly-recommended Kids Club, slick spa, bath-water-warm private beach, and neighbouring ‘desert’ island. Our self proclaimed god of R&R, this Aegean altar is well worthy of your worship

If you’re a mum or dad planning a holiday the chances are you’ve heard of Martinhal Sagres – Portugal’s perennially parent pleasing pad. What you may not know, is that alongside hotel rooms, families have the choice to bed down in luxury villas as well. Ocean Houses command prime position facing the, you guessed it, superb seafront, whilst guests of the Vilas Mimosa townhouses have access to a shared private pool. The faultless facilities Martinhal is so well known for are at your fingertips; with 5 Kids Clubs welcoming tots (6 months +) to teens, daily football and watersports aplenty. Whilst a lot of hotels lay claim to childcare, you’ll be hard pushed to find many that have considered every tiny touch as meticulously as Martinhal. Every on-site restaurant has an activity corner where kids can colour in or read books, supervised by childminders and the genius baby concierge service allows for the ultimate hassle free packing – allowing you to pre-order anything and everything from nappies and toiletries to prams and carriers

£

You’ll have to move fast, as there are only 4 stand alone villas onsite, but if you’re lucky enough to snag one of the Residences (sleeping 6-9) at Anassa you’re in for one hell of a treat. Expect opulent interiors, mesmerising sea views and private infinity pools. The spacious set up makes an ideal choice for multi-gen groups. The beauty of Anassa is that it’s full of surprises. Wander through impeccably groomed grounds, stumbling upon an Byzantine chapel in the ‘village square’, peruse the upscale boutiques, before sinking into a double day bed by the superlative swimming pool. Food here is very much a love letter to Cyprus, with a dizzying array of local honey served at breakfast and fine dining twist on cultural cuisine at dinner. Anassa has a magical ability to please all ages, and all definitions of a ‘holiday’. A wellness first hotel, the spa and gym are world class. The serenely conceived spaces encourage an uninterrupted state of Zen, but far from being adult’s only this is one of Europe’s top tier hotels for families. The Kids Club starts at 4 months +; the Baby Go Lightly service makes packing a breeze; restaurants come complete with children’s menus and early dinner sittings; and the icing on the cake? The heated toddler friendly pool, adorned with the all important shallow shelf and flanked by criminally comfortable loungers

Got a pretty long list of holiday requirements? Angsana is the 5* Ionian Idyll for you. Got a tot prone to car seat meltdowns? No problem. This resplendent resort is a mere 20 minutes from the airport. Want the ease of onsite eating but also the flexibility of shaking up meal times? The picture perfect fishing village of Benitses is a short stroll away, with plenty of traditional tavernas to taste test. Want a horizontal holiday peppered with some easy exertion? Angsana is home to Corfu’s largest spa (as well as an award-winning infinity pool), whilst a vast gym offers regular exercise classes and you’ll find the whole shebang of watersports available at the private beach. Tots are taken care of by the Rangers Club (4+), and we haven’t even got to the villas yet. 37 home-from-homes are set against the twinkling bay, sleeping 4-9 in 1-4 beds. Soul (and stomach) nourishing doesn’t get much better than this

Located in the lesser known Languedoc Region, Château Les Carrasses is exactly how we envision a French fairytale to play out. Standing proud amongst verdant vineyards and bucolic countryside, this 19th century wine estate is home to a sprinkling of luxury villas (sleeping 2 – 8). Romance reigns supreme inside of these storied walls, but pretty provincial decor is matched with parent pleasing practicality; rooms have blackout shutters; private pools are heated; and, in-room coffee machines are provided. Gracing the grand grounds is an infinity pool, Mediterranean restaurant, tennis court and mini farm. Visit during school holidays to make use of the seasonal Kids Club (4+), but with over 300 days of sunshine a year, an off season soiree also makes a lot of sense

Upping the ante on villa holidays is Turkey’s Maxx Royal Belek Golf Resort. These ultra exclusive home-from-homes offer not only space & privacy, but also a private butler service – so you can smugly say goodbye to any tasks more challenging than deciding where to enjoy your lunchtime snooze. Luxury here is off the charts; with room fragrance & pillow menus, plus private hammams to unwind in. The glamorous mid-century decor is more in keeping with California than the Med, but there’s no denying where in the world you are once you’ve stepped outside your door. Palm trees pepper the crystal clear coastline, with lush grounds encircling a world-class 18-hole golf course, swish spa, vast swimming pool and the legendary Maxxi Land. Home to different Kids Clubs from 1 +, tots are treated to an outdoor adventure park with climbing walls, Dinoland and aquapark

If we’re talking luxury family holidays with bulletproof childcare, that won’t break the bank, the Domes group is the name to know. Elounda, their flagship hotel, has an unrivalled location, a short 20 minute stroll from picturesque Plaka. Walkability into a local town is the first of many, many boxes this glorious getaway will tick. Exclusively a ‘suites and villas’ only outpost, it’s impossible to go wrong with room choices. Families will want to plump for a 2 or 3 bed villa for an eco-heated private pool, fully equipped kitchen, 24/7 dedicated concierge service and assigned sunbeds at the main pool and beach – no seat scramble for you! When it comes to childcare it would be quicker to list what’s not provided than what is (read: nothing!). There’s a chargeable creche from 4 months, complimentary Kids Club from 4, babysitting, plethora of parental paraphernalia provided and an elevated take on evening entertainment. We’re talking puppet performances, al fresco cinema nights and bubble shows

Family friendly villa holidays aren’t exclusive to Europe. In dire need of some winter sun? We can hear St Lucia calling your name. The language at Windjammer is very much ocean-chic, with whitewashed villas dotting the cobalt-Caribbean facing grounds. Families have plenty of room to make themselves at home, with fully equipped kitchens, private gardens, vista-blessed balconies and personal pools. Back at the hotel, you’ll find a surplus of swimming pools, spa, gym, tennis courts, sheltered shoreline and 7 a la carte restaurants – and yes, there’s the option of all inclusive dining! The childcare on offer here is exemplary. Free for those 4+, and running until (10pm!), the Kids Club can also arrange nannies to accompany tots too young to attend on their own. Unshackled by smalls, parents can recharge drained batteries while snoozing in the sea-strewn hammocks. If we haven’t already got you googling flights, the purse-pleasing prices are sure to convince you….

A stay that’s simultaneously sexy and family-friendly is no mean feat, but Roundhill Hotel and Villas excels at chic contradictions. First up, location. While the sprawling grounds feel deliciously secluded, in reality they’re an easy 20 minute transfer from the airport. Next, vibes. With Ralph-Lauren designed bedrooms and restaurant, and a history of hosting Hollywood alum, Roundhill may be undeniably glam, but it’s also seriously welcoming to pint-sized people. The Kids Club is complimentary for those 3+, early dinners are served, there’s a dedicated children’s pool, and our favourite part? The round the clock nanny service, which is heaven-sent if your early birds have you craving a rare lie in

£££

The ultimate word in hotel luxury is spoken at Sugar Beach, a heavenly spot where no indulgence is spared. Imagine the smoothest service you’ve ever experienced, but on steroids – and you’ll begin to get the picture. Airy & inviting plantation style villas benefit from a private butler service, while Mary Poppins-esque staff man the fort at the complimentary Kids Club (4+), where days are spent coconut bowling, feeding fish and hunting treasure. The dictionary definition of idyllic island life, first class fantasy fodder is delivered via the rainforest spa, baby-butt soft sands and mind-bogglingly beautiful seascapes

£££

Reached via a direct flight to Phuket International Airport, followed by an easy 25 minutes drive, Aleenta delivers a taste of Thailand’s trademark island living – with minimal transfers involved. ‘Outdoor-living-in’ is prioritised here, as evidenced by the retractable floor to ceiling windows, private pools and outdoor showers found in the luxury villas. Parents come here to switch off, indulge in bespoke wellness treatments, inhale the tropical air and decompress on the sparkling sands. ‘Grown up time’ is made possible, thanks to the complimentary Kids Club (2+) and babysitters. Taking tiny entertainment one step further, there’s also a children’s pool and dedicated playgrounds, not to mention the safe and shallow jade-green ocean waters. Half and full board options are available in the two restaurants, plus there’s plenty locally if you fancy sampling more cultural cuisine

££

Invaluable space is matched with 5* service at Forte Village, where guests can choose to be left to their own devices or catered for around the clock. Villas spoil with Sardinian sea views, elegant Italian design, immaculate private gardens, and personal butlers! From unpacking bags and preparing breakfast to making dinner reservations, nothing is too much trouble for your very own Jeeves. Every age and interest is catered to at the world-famous Kids Club (2+), a mini land filled with an aquapark, giant Barbie dream house, go-kart track and bowling alley. Extra energy can be channelled into the professionally run sports camps, or danced off at the nightly disco. Offspring offloaded, parents are free to indulge in some Vitamin D downtime, via the 6 thermal saltwater pools, sublime sandy beach and whole host of restaurants

£££

A man-written storybook village of tufa limestone, lemon-scented air and lantern-lit labyrinths, Puglia’s Borgo Engazia may just be the prettiest hotel in the Med. Rest assured though, this retreat romance is far from family-repellent. Quite the opposite in fact. Thoughtful spatial planning, means key children’s amenities are conveniently grouped together – the Kids Club (3+) and teen room sit next to the family pool, which is flanked by the playground, and underneath an easy-lunch restaurant. Butlers serve breakfast for guests of the picture-perfect villas, and twice daily housekeeping ensures you don’t have to lift a finger. Exceptional babysitters can be arranged should you wish an evening to yourself – we’d recommend spending it dining at the Michelin starred Due Camini. With an 18-hole championship golf course, two beach clubs and a heaven-sent spa, family-friendly fantasies are made reality here

For families who want space, style, and seriously good food, the villas at Abama Resort are the way to go. Every 2–3 bedroom villa comes with a private pool, giving parents privacy while kids disappear into the Abama Kids Club (4+) for zip-lining, football, science experiments, and even excursions across the island. The half-board plan is pure genius: access to three restaurants, including one with a menu created by 12-time Michelin-starred Martín Berasategui, plus fully equipped kitchens for 24/7 snack access. Across the resort, the whole family can splash and swim in picture-perfect, heated infinity pools, while adults also enjoy world-class golf, tennis, padel, and the spa

£

It’s official, the latest string to the Ikos bow cements its place as the number 1 fuss-free fly and flop. New for 2024, the first villas at Ikos Andalusia offer unrivalled space amidst the hotel’s top tier childcare and foodie scene. Welcoming up to 9 guests (in 4 bedrooms) the villas are everything you’d expect from the revered resort – private pools, barbecues and even personal gyms! Offering the shortest flight time from the UK, Ikos Andalusia makes deep relaxation a breeze. Sprawling out across Marbella’s golden mile, the lush grounds are as glamorous as you’d imagine, with both service & style super smart. It is worth knowing the beach here isn’t the brands best (you’ll want to head to one of their Greek outposts for that), but the 4 swimming pools more than make up for it. As standard, the cult-like-worshipped Kids Club is free for those 4+, whilst babies 6 months + are welcomed into the chargeable creche

£££

Cheap and chic don’t often go hand-in-hand, but Crete’s Village Heights proves beautiful things can come with small price tags. Nestled high in the mountains, this is an ode to the surrounding countryside: you’ll find breathtaking vistas at every viewpoint, a laser focus on locality in the six onsite restaurants, and a Kids Club (3+) that heroes culturally enriching entertainment. An all inclusive abode, where rooms come kitted out with kitchenettes? It’s clear Village Heights knows how to cater to the needs of parents, brilliantly. The Three Bedroom Villa here is complete with plenty of additions to make family life easier; 2 bathrooms, a private pool, microwave, fridge, and the all important daily housekeeping

£

A Greek island steeped in tradition, lovely Lefkada is home to time-preserved villages, ancient olive groves, beautiful beaches and Mousses Villas – a truly unique set up that is quite frankly the answer to your parental prayers. With only 12 villas in the ‘resort’ the vibe here is deliciously chilled and go-slow. Ranging from 2-3 bedrooms, these boltholes couldn’t be better equipped for children. Going above and beyond your usual cots and highchairs, you’ll also find stair gates, toys, changing mats, potties and cutlery. The atmosphere is convivial and communal, with guests congregating around the sparkling shared swimming pool and little uns easily making friends. The onsite restaurant is open daily with an a la carte lunch and dinner menu, while there’s a minimarket down the road for breakfast supplies. Almost unheard of for such a small property, there’s also a Kids Club (with a brilliant entry age of 6 months +), AND evening sessions that allow for date nights. The nearest town is a strap-in-strap-out car ride away, where write-home-about tavernas line the streets. Topping our charts for a peaceful getaway, with all the trimmings, this Ionian idyll really is the stuff of legend

£

If we were a holiday genie a bottle the 3 requests we’d hear on repeat would be for: winter sun, Kids Club serviced villas, and heated pools. Well, you don’t need to rub us the right way honey, when Tenerife’s Hotel Suite Villa Maria ticks all these boxes, and more! The villas themselves range from one to three beds, some with private pools, and all with hanger-preventing kitchens. Resort facilities included supervised childcare (4+), a sweet playground, 3 pools (one kept bathwater-warm year-round), and a restaurant taking care of breakfast, lunch and dinner

A sophisticated spin on resort living, family facilities here are elevated and elegant. Included in the quadrant of restaurant offerings is a Michelin star soiree; there’s 2 championship golf courses; and, an extensive spa. The Kids Club runs for those 2+, while teens are taken off site on local day trips. Romance reigns supreme, with everything from the spacious villas through to the fragrant grounds looking like they’ve stepped straight from the pages of a fairytale – yet it’s still one of the most family friendly hotels we’ve come across in France
